We stayed at a nearby cabin in town for a wedding and decided to stop in to the deli for lunch…read moresince it wasn't too far. My husband and I both do keto for different reasons, mine being necessary for health issues and we pretty much get grilled chicken salads everywhere as it's usually a safe bet diet-wise. Nevy's actually offered several kinds of salads so my husband was able to get his with steak, and I stuck with my usual chicken. We doubled up and got two each so we could have enough for the weekend and I'm so glad we did because they were absolutely delicious!! As I'm sure you can imagine, it can get pretty boring having to eat grilled chicken every place you go, but as I don't really have a choice it's always a pleasant surprise when it is not only good but IMPRESSIVE!! My only regret is that we didn't get some for the ride home. Now that we have family there, we will definitely come back to Nevy's when we visit again. The staff was also very nice and the place looked recently remodeled and sparkly clean! Can't recommend it enough. Now excuse me while I go try to recreate this salad at home but don't do nearly as good of a job because there was some sort of chickeny magic in there that I can't figure out

The building is a nice wooden structure with ample parking and an outdoor seating area. Once inside, the beautiful wood theme continues holding a few tables and some bar seating. On the night that we went, there were about six Railhead beers on tap with one non-Railhead cider available as well. The beers were a good assortment including a Kolsch, IPA, Sour, etc. I had a flight of 4 and they were all good. On the food side, we had a personal pizza and a soft pretzel, but they also offer a cheese plate, candied bacon and more. The pizza was absolutely the best that I've had anywhere in the area and the pretzel was delicious as well. The pretzels are made fresh each day (so when they run out, they run out for the day). Watching the pizza cooking in the wood fired oven, with a nice cold beer in my hand was a truly beautiful thing. I should mention that they have 10 different pizzas on the menu, plus a special of the day which means that they had a bigger selection of pizzas than beers and that was just fine with us. Again, everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful and the prices were fair. What more could you ask for?

By contrast, Marco's has excellent customer service, but I gave it 3 rather than 4 stars due to a clear and consistent obvious lack of consistency. I generally order stromboli from them, but it's really hit or miss depending on the day. Some days the stromboli is big and golden brown and amazing. I'd give it 5 stars. Other days it's tiny, completely undercooked, and even missing ingredients. I'd give it 1 star. If they could make the 5-star stromboli consistently, my rating would be 4 or even 5 stars. The pizza is decent but the chicken wings consistently disappoint. I was in there recently and a sign said the wings were so small that they'd offer more than usual to make up the difference. Again, I'd much rather have consistency. Eat here on occasion because they can't be consistent, but I do love a good stromboli. Wish they could get it right

The aroma of freshly baked pizza was so enticing, and drew us up to the counter without hesitation. The kids ordered the standard KID Meals: fingers and fries and a kid's personal pan pizza. I was glad to see that they were "real" chicken cutlets, not reformed chopped chicken product. Ok, so it was the best thing he ever ate! Our bigger boy eats pizza every chance he gets, as his mom works at a pizza shop in another town. He eagerly expressed approval of Marco's sauce and cheese! Life is good! I had the chicken souvlaki salad with a garlic breadstick. Very delicious and a great bargain at only $8.99! I strongly suggest that you put Marco's on your bucket list!
