I just took the PST 101 this past weekend with David and I highly recommend the class! I went in…read morewith my first firearm, having absolutely no experience, and learned so much! The combination of lecture teaching and hands-on teaching in the range made for a very productive class! It was definitely worth the cost! I cannot wait to go back to train more and take 101A! Many better options for the price (Vr game development class)…read more While I'm sure some of the other classes provide high quality education, the Vr game development tutorial certainly did not. It was basically just a room with all the necessary hardware and software for game development, but no actual education. The teacher, while very nice, never taught how to code but instead instructed the class to an "exclusive website" while they sat and tried their best to answer questions. This would have been fine if it weren't for two things. A. The website didn't teach how to make a VR game, but instead a text based game and later a simple 3D game. B. Since the website never explained how to code something like joystick movement, the teacher had to manually answer each kid's question about literally anything. This meant you would sit for an hour waiting for your turn with the teacher while you made the map, until FINALLY they would try to help you with actually learning anything. Again, no fault to the teacher, they did their best. The problem is the fundamental lack of curriculum. It's 25 hours of sitting in a room building a unity map while waiting to be taught how to do anything, for 1000$. If you need anymore proof, by the end nobody had a playable game. Not an unfinished or glitchy game, but a game that only a few people could actually load into their headset at all with no code or controls or gameplay. Find an online YouTube tutorial, rent your kid a PC for the week and save yourself the trouble (and money). This isn't even the end of the flaws. Often if a kid starts playing games in class the teacher won't stop them. At least the free cafeteria food is good and has lots of dietary restrictions, even if it doesn't make up for the price.

Top notch! Professionals that you can learn from! Very engaging…read more Excellent program! Two females went to a basic hand pistol 101 class with James as an instructor. The company has a total of 7 instructors. It was a 2hr class that he graciously went over about 30 minutes to fully brief us on what he knows are important to know as our goal was basic handling and safety. James was very thorough, pleasant and direct with his intentions of what beginners with no formal experience should know. We didn't expect the level of knowledge and hands on that we got today. We even got to do a "fitting" to ensure which type of handgun would work best for us as individuals. We recommend this company for any beginners to take as their main concern is safety and to give you the tools necessary to safely operate a handgun. Or a novice trying to scale up. We also have two other scheduled classes with them in the next coming months and I am excited to be with professionals who are there to teach at your pace, correct where necessary and reinforce good practices. Thanks James and the group. Exceptional learning service!

Talk about teaching civic responsibility! This non-profit organization has been doing it for 26…read moreyears. Democracy, civics and active participation in the community do have to be learned. I am all for a push for math and science but the Classroom Law Project brings law-related education programs into Oregon schools, teaching students at all grade levels the values and skills essential to being a participating citizen . Today was the state competition at the Federal Building. I have never seen the high school competition, so I thought I would take it in. Out of the entire state only six high schools competed. Are you kidding me? And every judge and attorney seemed to be there helping in some capacity. Critical thinking skills? Try the U.S. Constitution on for size. I mean if we didn't have that who knows where Calculus and Chemistry would be. It's a K-16 program. Your local school should be doing it. It if is, support it. If it isn't start it. I don't think you will be sorry.

World class firearm safety course by Alex! My girls and I cannot recommend him highly enough. My…read morewife has held a weapon once in her life, and my daughter had only fired a few rifles 2 to 3 times with friends. I am former military, but terribly out of practice when it comes to weapons and took the opportunity to join my wife and daughter in a refresher course. The three of us took Firearms for Absolute Beginners with Alex and were incredibly pleased with the results. We spent four full hours combing through the basics. He walked us through how semi automatic pistols and revolvers work, showed us how bullets work, gave us a fantastic lesson on the different calibers and types, and we spent almost an hour, practicing loading and unloading weapons safely. My wife went from being a nervous wreck to being relaxed and comfortable around a handgun, and my daughters confidence grew tenfold. I picked up some terrific tips for proper stance and grip, which showed immediate results on the range. The following day I practiced with my 9mm and noticed a significant improve in my shot group. If you're new to handguns or just need a refresher course so that you can get comfortable with them again, I strongly recommend Jones firearm training. Alex was infinitely patient with our silly questions and helped foster a comfortable atmosphere where the entire family was able to learn.
