Chopped pork and brisket.
Cory N.

Not a true bbq house, had fried and baked dishes as well. Not what I was expecting, but all good. First the sides. A solid Mac and cheese! Very cheesy! Green beans are usually over cooked, but not these! Firm and buttery! Now the meat. I'm not a huge fan of the meat coming out with bbq sause already on the meat. The meat was tasty with a good portion size. And half the brisket was cut wrong with long strands. Best side was the corn bread. Sweet and moist. No need for butter! #spicemeister moderately approved.

This is a great local option for top tier barbecue! The owner and his family always do a wonderful job of having a personal connection every time we are in. My two favorites are the catfish fillets and the pulled pork, but I've also heard really good things about the chicken.

My husband passed away this past January. But 2G's as yiu can see by this pic was he favorite place to eat!!

My husband and I absolutely love everything about this restaurant! The food is amazing, it's clean, the staff is awesome, the owners are the absolute nicest people I've ever met! 10 out 10 would and do recommend this restaurant to everyone. I moved out of state and eveey chance I come back to Ohio that is the one place I visit!

Decided to take a drive for some BBQ today. I typically try to stay within an hour of Columbus. So I had read a little about 2G's and made the drive out to Bellefontaine. Ordered the 4 rib special, it came with 2 sides. I ordered collard greens, mac n cheese and ordered additionally baked beans and cornbread. Also an iced tea. Bill came to 15 bucks. Pretty cheap for the amount of food. Now for the food. The ribs, because that is what it was all about. These ribs had a phenomenal bark on them. Most ribs our wet when you get them but these dry as can be and had such a great taste, inside they were super moist. The ribs are cooked with hickory and apple wood. You could definitely taste the smoky flavor. The bones just broke into pieces as I tore the meat off them. No utensils here, that's what your hands were made for. No sauce even needed. The greens had the slightest touch of vinegar that blended well with them. Mac n cheese was of the baked version with just a small bite from the cheese. Great consistency. Baked beans were okay but could have used a little kick to them. They were still okay, Cornbread had a sweet taste to it and was nice and moist. Put some butter and it melted perfectly. Talked with George the owner for just a minute, You could tell that he is married to the business. Some people are in it totally for the money and then there are those that it is there life. He has been doing it for 9 years now and has definitely perfected his craft. The restaurant has probably 12 tables in it. Plenty of room. The waitress was on it, she checked in a timely manner and had refills when needed. I will definitely be back. Great story on the back of the menu. Pretty inspiring.

Cozy booths, dark wood, and a super laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect place to hang out with friends or just unwind after a long day. We couldn't pick just one appetizer... so we didn't. We went all in and ordered a few to share--fried pickles, potato skins, and the spinach artichoke dip. Everything came out hot and full of flavor, and the portions were generous enough for sharing (though we kind of wanted to keep them all for ourselves). Our server was friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt super relaxed and welcoming. It's one of those places where you can just kick back, enjoy good food, and lose track of time in the best way. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu (I hear the fish and chips are legendary), but for now--if you're in the area, this place is worth the stop!

We actually passed the street it is on due to lack of signage and visibility. We met family there (my son knew where it was) for dinner and a nice visit. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken promptly. The menu was pretty much what you would expect from a Mexican American restaurant. All the standards with few variants. I did find a steak item that was smothered in a very tasty but HOT sauce that had me eating it up and chugging lemonade at the same time. Delicious! We got there right at peak dinner hours. Our service was very good but died off considerably as the rush hit. It seemed our room was a bit short staffed for the amount of tables. Our grandson's item was wrong and we waited a long time to get her attention to have it corrected. His dinner arrived as we all had finished so he took his food to go. He also tried 3 times to get someone's attention to get a refill. Poor kid had a rough time. The only concern for me was cleanliness. The menus were dirty and mine had food on it. Busy or not, the hostess should be wiping those menus down between uses. After touching them I started worrying about what else wasn't cleaned well, right or wrong. Not a good first impression. All in all the experience was pretty positive. Everyone cleaned their plates. We were not suggested dessert which was probably a good thing as I was stuffed but they had some interesting choices on the menu rather than just the standard fried ice cream and flan. We will return here now that we know it is there. We are new to the area. The locals clearly know it is there especially the happy hour crowd as the bar was pretty full when we arrived.

I tried for 10 minutes to order online and after it not working called the restaurant. I ordered a chicken fajita Quesadilla, chips and cheese dip. I was a little disappointed with the chips, which I tried on my drive home. I had fasted for 22 hours, I can't believe any food was disappointing. They just didn't taste fresh and they were really oily. I was excited for the quesadilla. It came with beans, rice, lettuce and sour cream. This is the item I order from my favorite Mexican restaurant in Wapakoneta and I figured this would be similar. It was not very good. There was maybe a teaspoon of beans, but it was so liquidy, it was hard to tell. The rice was good and I'm not a big fan of rice. The quesadilla was just a soggy mess. I ate a little out of the inside but not much. I ended up just throwing it away and having some cereal for dinner. And something minor, though I found annoying. When they gave me my receipt to sign, they had circled Tip several times with a black pen. I always tip, even on carry out orders but I found the circling of it annoying. So much so, I almost didn't tip. I doubt I'll be back to this location because the food just wasn't very good which is disappointing.

Such a feel-good setting, and I felt like I was back in New York for a bit. Especially with my first impression that it was a very tiny cozy place, 10 or so bar seats, two 2-tops and an SRO window counter. But I later learned of the much bigger dining room that was not in use when we visited on Sunday afternoon. Additionally there is covered outdoor seating (not an option at present with all these rainstorms). Our server was such a gentleman, so helpful, prompt, kind, engaging and attentive. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but I hope we'll see him again on a future Sunday. The food is just off the charts, unique, lovingly prepared, high quality, incredible flavor combinations, nicely presented, and so delicious. My husband and I shared Curry Chicken Sliders (perfect level of warming curry, soft bun plus crispy fresh greens), Brussel Sprouts (tender crisp, lightly glazed perfection; there is a choice of glazes, might try the honey next time), Meatballs (light in texture, hearty in seasoning, in a wonderful sauce), and the amazing bacon-wrapped dates which are indescribable. Just. Get. Them. We loved all four dishes and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. Food arrived at a good pace. Lots of wines from the Iberian peninsula, three craft beers on tap and a full bar. They also sell bottles of wine. The parking lot here is also pretty pequeño but there are some spots on the side street. We find ourselves in Urbana on the occasional Sunday and next time we do, believe me there will be another visit to Pequeños. ¡Gracias!

So, what app is better than Yelp for discovering those little country gems? Up pops Uncle Beth's BBQ. So we drive the few miles to get here. We pull up on this corner restaurant in the middle of rural America, and the first thing we see is the dozens of Harley's lined up out front. Already, I'm excited. I don't ride but I love bikes. Right away I feel at home in my flannel, jeans, and combat boots. We notice the line is about 20 people outside the front door to the place...they are PACKED. Now I KNOW I am at the right place. The menu is simple, in that there are a select number of items...but the big thing is, everything is made here. The sauces, the beans, the max and cheese, pulled pork, the rub for the ribs, the BBQ sauces, and the deserts. I looked at my wife and said, "If this place is as good as it smells and appears, we are going to come back again." I ordered the full rack of ribs, broccoli salad, and the slaw. For a side sauce for the ribs I ordered the blackberry bbq sauce. My hands were so messy by the end and I had a continual smile on my face. Suffice to say, we are going to come back again.
