Buyer Beware: Not only are the prices higher than most places in the area they use a scale that…read moreweighs items heavier than they are. Yesterday was my first time there. I was excited to see they had Georgia Wild shrimp in 1lb, 2lbs, ad 5lbs bags. I got a 2lb bag. When I got home, the bag looked light, so I weighed it on my food scale and postal scale, and both showed 1.15 lbs. Thinking that I was given a 1lb bag by mistake, I went back to the store to let them know. The lady told me that my scale was faulty and needed to be recalibrated. I informed her I weighed it on TWO different scales. Then showed her a photo of the shrimp on my scale at 1.15lbs . She then put them back on her scale at the register and showed me 1.96 lbs (which still isn't 2). The gentleman said to give me a few more to get it to 2 lbs. She looked me in the eye and said, "Honey, a lb of shrimp is 21 shrimp. I guarantee it's 40, and you have 2 lbs. Recalibrate your scales." Some guy in the background yelled out, "Use tare." They never tried to test or "recalibrate" their scale. Unfortunately life has taught me that arguing with scammers is moot and I already wasted too much time with these people so I just left feeling salty and cheated. However, on the way home I figured I must have been overcharged on the other produce since that's the scale they used for everything. When I got home, I weighed all the produce and saw that NOTHING was equal to weight it said on my receipt. As for my scales and weighing know-how, I run an online business and use the postage scale daily. My numbers always match the numbers at UPS and USPS so I know my scales are right. I also recalibrated them and got the same thing. However I am a science based professional so to test I weighed a 1lb bag lentils from my pantry and jar honey I bought from them both items were correct. I've attached photos of all of this. This experience was so disappointing and I will never return.

I am not sure what the bad reviews are all about. This place is great. What you need to remember if…read moreyou are coming in off season is that "it is off season." I have never had a problem with anything purchased here, and frankly, I would rather pay a local farmer for produce and eggs whenever I can. I much prefer this rather than the trucked-in stuff at large chain markets. Large chain markets have their place, but small community stores like this build community spirit and help our local farmers.

Jensen Reserve is a farm-based butcher shop and artisan food producer in Walton County, Georgia that came highly recommended by friends. It's not a large place, but offers high-quality, pasture-raised, locally sourced meats such as beef, chicken, and its own pork products from the rare Meishan pig breed. They provide Artisan food products like prosciutto, capicola and dips and spreads you can feel good about consuming. The Owner/Farmer, Laura Jensen, wants you to eat like a farmer everyday! We had the chance to meet her and she explained why she began farming after battling several health issues. It is important to her to offer meats free of chemicals and pollutants. The entire staff was lovely and we had a BLAST talking with many of the customers, some of which convinced us to purchase far more than we intended! Still, we remained conservative because we weren't sure if the hype was truly worthy. But let me offer some assurance from a former Yelp Elite member for more than 13 years... they are indeed worth the hype! [ WHAT WE PURCHASED ] We took home two steak burger patties, 5lbs of frozen chicken breasts, a Teres Major steak, a jar of peach habanero pepper jelly, a block of Havarti cheese, a loaf of cheddar jalapeno sourdough bread, and one container each of their regular chicken salad and the buffalo chicken dip. It was so surprisingly good that we ate the chicken salad and buffalo dip within 48 hours of our first bite! The steak burgers were absolutely amazing and my wife has been really enjoying the sourdough bread. We also had a great date night in our living room with a movie, club crackers, the Havarti cheese and peach habanero pepper jelly. We have yet to cook the chicken or teres major steak, but if what we've already devoured is any indicator, we will be very happy with our meal. They offer freezer packages, half hog & whole hog packages, and everything from a 1/4 of a cow to a whole cow package as well as bulk buys and weekly specials. Their "stock your frig freezer bundle" for $285 fits in most refrigerator freezers with no need for a deep freezer (according to their sign). Now that's smart advertising! [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] Not gonna kid anyone, some of the steak prices are uncomfortable, but after comparing some of the organic local grocery chain prices for chicken and ground beef, Jensen meats and other products are actually great buys!

If you are looking for the ultimate destination for fresh international produce, authentic global spices, and an unparalleled selection of exotic groceries, this is the place to be. I walked in needing a few simple fresh vegetables and some specific culinary spices, but I ended up discovering so much more in every vibrant aisle. The sheer variety is a dream for any home cook or food enthusiast looking to elevated their kitchen game in 2026. The highlight of the trip had to be the live seafood section. Seeing the live tilapia swimming right there is a testament to the quality and freshness that City Farmers Market maintains. It is rare to find such a high standard of fresh caught fish and specialty meats all under one roof. Whether you are searching for organic greens, hard-to-find Asian ingredients, or Hispanic pantry staples, this market has mastered the art of being a one-stop shop for the Duluth community. The atmosphere was energetic, the shelves were meticulously stocked, and the overall experience was a perfect ten out of ten. I am already planning my next trip back to explore more of their international food stalls and seasonal offerings. If you haven't visited the new and improved City Farmers Market lately, you are missing out on one of the best shopping experiences in Georgia! I will definitely be back soon to see what else they have in store. #ashsaidit #CityFarmersMarket #DuluthGA #FreshProduce #InternationalMarket #SupportLocal

Although it has the nice selection that you come to expect from the chain, there were people just everywhere to the point where it was very chaotic to maneuver and find items. I'm sure it's not this bad all hours of the day but I think I will stick to the one that is closer to where I live, and save my sanity.
