There were five of us, each ordering one drink. One drink that was ordered iced was made hot and then simply poured over ice. This ruins the integrity of the espresso and waters down the entire drink. My sister was unable to finish her drink because it was gross. The employee at the register eventually pulled up our order on the iPad and read it back, confirming that we had ordered everything correctly. The whole interaction felt awkward, and the person working the register was passive aggressive. I will say that the person making the coffee was friendly and quickly made the forgotten drink once they realized what happened. I've worked in specialty coffee for five years, so I understand that you don't have to be happy or overly friendly all the time when working in customer service. But people often go out for coffee as a small treat, to fill a craving, or as a pick-me-up on a bad day.
