Been coming here for a few years and the decline is profound. It's never been really clean, it's never been 24 hours, but at least it felt like "someone" cared a little. Since the Daly City location closed and the influx of people happened, it's been a fairly rapid decline into squalor. It's a small gym and just adding more broken down equipment from the closed gym doesn't make up for more people here. The machines break down more often and seem to be taking longer to be repaired. They seem to run out of paper towels every month. Now it seems that they have just stopped cleaning, at all. There is dust, dirt, debris, and trash on most every floor surface. Almost all the lips between the concrete floor surface and the rubber mat surfaces are coming loose. No one goes around and puts stuff in its proper place, some of this is on the members, but there needs to be tidying done...it used to get done regularly. read more

How do you guys run out of paper towels for 2 days straight? Luckily I always bring my own Lysol wipes with me but that was gross and very unhygienic. You guys need to just switch to antibacterial wipes to avoid all this headache. 1) Save some trees and use antibacterial wipes. Antibacterial wipes are made of polyester so less or no tress are harmed in making of these wipes and I am sure you guys go through countless rolls of paper towels each day. 2) Your spray bottles sucks and are always broken. Antibacterial wipes are already soaked in cleaning solution so you don't even need to use your janky spray bottles anymore. 3) Less mess and trash. Since the antibacterial wipes are already soaked in cleaning solution, you just need 1 wipe to wipe down multiple machines after each use. Compare that to ripping up 2 paper towels and spraying it with solution to clean 1 machine is a no brainer. The mens bathroom are still dirty and smells like piss constantly but I think some men are just dirty in general and no amount of cleaning is going to change this. The treadmill machines are way too close that they're practically touching one another. You guys need to think about separating the treadmill machines and giving more space in between them. I don't need to feel the sweat dripping off the person next to me. read more

If the company cares about the members who use this club in Pacifica, they will get their act together and get new gym equipment ( more modern and updated machines) repair all the cardio equipment its a disgrace to see how run down the equipment is. The company has plenty of financing to make this gym great but since its just an active 24hr gym they will put their money into the Supersport gyms . Get your sh*t together 24hr fitness. read more

Cancelled my membership after two days. First day I went to Pacifica, place is ok but need more ventilation and men's restroom/ locker room and shower room are very dirty and smell. Second day, I tried the Burlingame facility and the same. Men's locker and shower room really need a major cleaning. Your manager/ staff need to go and train from Planet Fitness Daly City location. This Gym has been open for years but it's so clean and great ventilation. Men's locker/ shower room are so clean that they have a person/ Maitenance that are actually station inside that keep cleaning the area through the day. As member I really appreciate a clean facility that should be on their top priority. read more

I've been coming to this gym for about a year now. It's pretty dirty. Mirrors needs replacement, bathroom needs a thorough cleaning and it's molded and smells, ceilings needs to be changed or something, it's molded. Equipment needs upgrades as well. Air circulation is pretty bad there too. I think this gym just really needs a whole new renovation/upgrade and better cleaning and caring afterwards. Please do something about this gym. I've been a 24 hour fitness member since the early 2010s, this is probably the worst one I've been to. Also, why are most gyms still not back to being 24 hour operations? Quarantine has been lifted for so long now. Don't we think it's about time to have 24 Hour Fitness Gyms be back to 24 Hours of Operation like the name suggests?!? It's Time!!! read more

I like the club but of late have been having billing issues and seeing some unauthorized charges on my credit card. It seems to be coming from the online membership account and is very hard to get it resolved.. Would appreciate someone calling me back :) read more

Went there to see about doing a 3 day trial because I'm in the area for a couple weeks and the guy at the front told me I couldn't do it. They want to charge $70-80 for a one week pass for a gym with old equipment! read more

The front desk Jeremy is the man. Me and my partner has been searching for a gym in a long time and he offered the best deals after our free trial. He also recommended some classes to take like UJam at 7 every Friday night and I never regretted it. From my experience the gym culture is beautiful and everyone is respectful. There's no ego, no assholes and everyone uplift each other. It is also not busy. My only problem is why does this gym close at 8? read more

machines are always "under repair" ive been a member here 20 years. it's frustrating how the few functioning machines are always in use read more

Small, shitty gym with a shitty culture. Only one single set of 5 lb or 2.5 plates anywhere to be found so you have to be really creative with your loading. Members are rude and have absolutely no sense of gym etiquette. Do anything above average and many meathead members will try to assert their dominance; they can heard talking crap about you and negatively comparing you to professional lifters in the background. They will pull power moves on you and try to swoop equipment you were clearly waiting for or even using. Lifting platforms are terrible and uneven so weights roll around unevenly between deadlift reps. Forget about dropping the weights on the platform. They might bounce off and hit someone walking into the bathroom. I only go here because of the sweet Eleiko plates, nice barbells, the gyms close proximity to home and they have enough equipment to get a decent workout in. Would not recommend to anyone who doesn't live very near by and can afford a nice gym. Try Crunch serramonte, more expensive but paying for a much better commercial gym with much better gym culture. Have been coming here on and off since 2010 so these are not one off experiences. read more

New manager, same bullshit! They closed the Daly City gym down and now Pacifica is swamped with a bunch of new people. This is a small gym! Did they bring over any of Daly cities equipment to supplement the broken down minimal gear at Pacifica? Hell no! This is a prefect sign of the times. Pay maximum fees for half of what you would normally get during better times under competent leadership. Just like food and gas prices, they just say fuck it. There's cable machines that have been down for months. Months! Are you guys 24hr fitness or Jabronis basement gym? Not replacing cables is inexcusable. Either get a competent manager or close up shop. They bright the Daly City manager over from that shithole gym and now he's making Pacifica a shithole gym! Right on! Fix the machines!! read more

After talking to my barber, he mentioned to me that this location had got some new/updated equipment so I decided to give it a try. Being that this isn't a super sport, comparing it to the Millbrae location wouldn't be fair. A closer comp would be the van ness location and pretty easy to say that this location is way better and cleaner. While it's not the biggest gym it has all the things you'll need. Plenty of squat racks, a couple cable machines, and a free weight area. It's a little tight by the free weights, so if it's busy, it'll be a squeeze. Other than that, I think with the mix of newer machines and upgraded cardio, it's above average for a non-super sport location. Bonus for having a huge log for parking and being right next door to a delicious taqueria Being that it's equal distance from home compared to the Millbrae location for me, this is not a bad option when I want to grab a post workout burrito or hot pot near by. The post workout food options are better in this area than compared to Millbrae. read more

:( Unfortunately, the other recent reviews are 100% correct. The gym is small, dark, and outdated, with really little equipment that works. Seems like a huge handful of equipment is taped off with yellow caution tape all around it. It defitnetly was an experience in which I will not be putting myself through again, lol. read more

The manager Tiffani Gushue-Johnson needs to get fired! One of the most inexperienced, incompetent people I have ever encountered. She is also a pathological liar and never returns calls or responds to any emails. I have been trying for almost one month to have my complaint escalated. Tiffani promised to have my issue raised to upper management. When I did not hear back from anyone, I would have to follow up with her and her responses were always rude comments about my concerns not being a priority and saying she will call me back with an update. Very bizarre behavior from someone who should possess management skills to handle customers. 24 hour fitness simply does not care anymore. They don't update their gyms and have useless people running the establishment. read more

I am a long time member of 24 hour fitness, andI've finally decided to write. While the gym has basic equipment, it is so dirty, I don't recommend anyone come here. The women's bathroom ALWAYS has toilet paper and seat covers all over the floor. There's a constant leak/wet floors around the toilets, and the toilets are dirty and full of hair - obviously not really scrubbed for days. All the trash cans are overflowing, and the walls have some sort of of mold growing on them. The parking lot is always full of trash. Who on staff cares about this place? I expressed my concern to someone, whom I later learned was the manager. She was full of excuses, and I've never seen her walking the floor or cleaning anything up. She just looks the other way, and obviously has very low standards. The second star is just for the variety of equipment, although many of the cardio machines are often out of service. read more

Another update. One star for trainers that actually work hard and understand what gyms are supposed to be. Lack of 4 for a manager that clearly doesn't understand a damn thing about training, equipment, or what constitutes "clean*. New manager, same old bullshit. Equipment broken for months at a time (there's a stepmill here that has been broken for a *year*), a LEGION of recumbent bikes (the highest and best use of which is a fucking bonfire), they *removed* cleaning stations (because who doesn't want to train in someone else's funk?), and turned down a hack squat from recently closed Daly City gym (because who trains legs anyway?). If you train here, I'm sorry. If you're thinking about it...go *anywhere* else. I train here because it's my only local option...but when I can, I train at Walnut Creek (which appears to be managed by someone who isn't a fucking clownshoe). Have another option? Take it. Don't believe me? Come experience the shitshow for yourself...but don't say I didn't warn you. Want to write a complaint? Cool. Write 3 notes for management: leave one for them, crumple one up and throw it away and light the other one on fire, and see which one they get to first. The end up: this place exists to take your money, and they don't give a fuck if you get a good workout. read more

Pre-Covid this gym was much better. I've been back at this location for several weeks now and very disappointed. The staff is very friendly and the gym goers are nice. They have a good assortment of weights, equipment, and machines. However, the gym is now run down. Not sure if the management has changed? -there is mold on the walls and ceilings of the weight room... all over. -there is rat or mouse droppings by the exercise balls and kettle bells by the front window. -numerous mirrors are broken and held together with tape. -more minor compared to above, but the equipment is dirty and dusty. I haven't seen a cleaner there yet. If there is a cleaner I'm not sure what they are doing. The mold and rat/mouse droppings are a serious health issue. I'm surprised this place hasn't shut down from some sort of health agency. They need to have a company come and get safely dispose of the mold and sanitize all the walls. read more

We like to work out at this gym for different reasons like parking, and proximity to our home. Unfortunately, the kids that work at the front desk at night are just pathetic. They are at the front desk doing nothing and they never acknowledge the customers that walk in the gym. A "hello" would be nice, especially since customers pay their salary. Just a poor job by management when hiring and training their staff. It's unfortunate. Some equipment are still nice, but there are some machines that need to be upgraded. Their bathrooms need some TLC. They have a nice selection of group classes. read more

Overcrowded, Rude, Opens Late The gym has added too many members. Given that half the treadmills are broken on any given day, it's hard to get on after 6:30 on a weekday. Same with the 2 leg presses and 2 bench presses. They let people bring boom boxes so the workout area is a cacophonous competition to see which jerk is comfortable playing their personal music loudest. Finally, they can't consistently open on time. It's not unusual to come at 7:30 on a Saturday and find the lights off and a lot of should-have-known-better people like me waiting outside. If you're going to make your brand about availability, be available - seems simple. Try a local gym or a different 24hr. The buddy pass is a great feature if you want to bring a child or spouse with you sometimes. read more

Kimani is amazing! I started training with him eight months after my ACL surgery. At that time, I had very little stability in my surgery leg, and I didn't trust it.  Over the past few months, I have gained muscle, balance, and agility. His program also addressed core strength issues that were causing excruciating lower back pain. As a bonus, my back pain has resolved. Truly, wow!  Kimani stands out from other trainers because he understands the injury and recovery process and incorporates the emotional and mental aspects involved in it. He continues to evolve a program to help me get back on the water, back out on the trails, and doing the things I love.  I am excited about my progress and having fun with it, too!  Thank you, Kimani! read more

Why do you call it 24 hour fitness when you close at 8PM on a Friday. The gym needs a good clean up

Pacifica 24 needs some major work done. There is mold in the studio and a leaking roof. Simple, remove the mold; repair roof.

Overcrowded after 24hr fitness in Daly City closed. Opening the gym at 8am on weekends is too late , and inconvenient . Pretty frustrating having to wait for machines to become available , classes have been full, and would appreciate it if management would have broken machines fixed in a timely manner.
