They neglected to place a moisture barrier down and installed it directly over the concrete subfloor. Since the floor began warping and peeling more than a year ago our children have cut their feet numerous times , even our dog has injured his paw on the splintering floor! Numerous contractors and even the inspector from the flooring vendor agreed a barrier should have been used. Until now Interior Floors has assumed zero responsibility/liability. The answer we received from Interior Floors was that a barrier was not necessary and it's out of warranty tough luck!

At 4:30 I texted Allison to see if they were coming. She immediately called me and explained that "time had gotten away from them because their A/C went out!" So we agreed that we would reschedule for Saturday July 31st. Again, - no show by Chris or Allison. No phone calls or texts from them either. Being an engineer in the construction business myself; I recognize the importance of communication, thoroughness, client relations. Each one of these areas was ignored by Allison and Chris. This in of itself, warrants concern of how well a project would be completed by them (if it got completed)?!?! To emphasize - they never called or texted back. My wife and I gave up our plans for the 2nd Saturday in a row in an effort to meet them. The lack of consideration was/is extremely disappointing. Josh came to give me a quote which originally involved indoor concrete floors and a rubber gym floor. I since cancelled the concrete flooring with Josh and considered doing some tile in the area where the concrete was going to go. I found someone else to do the tile for much less and just wanted Josh to install the rubber floor inside a small room in my house. Josh was great and friendly this entire time. He agreed and sent me a bunch of samples and different types of floors to install. I picked one and he then sent me a contract. The contract required a 50% deposit, which I understand, but he wouldn't give me a start date for the project until receiving the deposit. I'm thinking that's why this project has never started. After months of an occasional email from him asking if I was ready to start, I was finally ready to get the floors installed. I asked for him to add a start and completion date in a new contract, the previous one was from months ago and had no dates. He said he would and now it's been a few more months of him telling me he will send a contract with the dates when he gets back to the office. I've posted a screenshot of the last email for records.

I opted for texture for safety and can't stop talking about how happy I am with the workmanship and reasonable expense it was to transform my apartment.
