After a week in the south of France, we decided to try some Japanese food. Went to Yelp to look for…read morehelp and saw that this place was highly rated, and then asked the concierge in our hotel what he thought about this place. He said this place was more apt to have a fusion type cuisine versus some of the other Japanese restaurants in town. This piqued our interest so off we went. Unfortunately, all the Yelp reviews were in French, so we didn't bother to really study them and see what people had to say. This restaurant is vastly overpriced and the cuisine is pure Japanese without any variations or attempts to blend a European cuisine in to it. The food is extremely ordinary and if you come from a major city anywhere in the world, you've most likely experienced much better Japanese food at the same price if not much lower. My only conclusion would be that the people who provided the previous ratings have no true idea about Japanese cuisine, or are trying to convince themselves that they experienced something novel.

NothiNg like being overseas and having to go to the hospital! AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! The place is by the old port tucked away on a quiet side street with other rather unique dining options. It's very strangely built with that Amsterdam esk spiral staircase to the bathroom upstairs that if you fall your DEFINITELY going to the hospital because you for sure broke something AND it has NO rails. Cuidado Por favor!!! My French is SO rusty, speaking French is like stepping on a rusty nail, YIKKKKES! So we tried to use google translate and my Spanish kind of helped with a tiny bit of translation as you could guess some of the ingredients but we just went with the first burger on the menu which seemed the most basic! The cheese on the burger over flowed like a beautiful water fall and it was enough to dip in half the potatoes! Wow that cheese was good! The burger was surprisingly NOT DRY even tho I asked for it well done. It just was a really good filling burger! It was PACKED when we went and PACKED when we left. And most people were French because of us ease dropping on others conversations so I think it's safe to say that it may be a local hangout. Anywho, just try it!!

They served home fries rather than French fries/pommes frites which seems incongruous since this is France and it's a burger place. But they were delicious--perfectly cooked golden potatoes.
