A team of 8-10 guys showed up bright and early yesterday and worked for 12+ hours the past two days to get both our yards done (large yards). They were very efficient. I would 100% recommend this company without any hesitation! Tobias was quick to come out to give us an estimate. His crew did small bush/tree trims to accommodate the fence line. We ended up needing a couple of stumps ground down and Tobias quickly had one of his professional contacts, "The stump guy" come out and take care of it. He communicated frequently throughout the job to ensure that it was satisfactory. Finally, they did a very thorough clean up.

Before the project began, Stuart took the time to schedule a call with me to ask and answer any and all questions that needed to be understood before undertaking the project. We've got a sturdy and, if I may say so, rather snazzy looking mailbox that looks good as new, not to mention professionally done. Price was very reasonable -- would definitely recommend their services.

Still waiting on the owner to reach out to me. Their employee Amber responded after I elevated my…read moreconcerns with the office manager- Robin. Amber then lied and claimed there were "several" attempts to repair my fence. There were two attempts- one of which the roof was being repaired and it was too hazardous of an environment to come and the 2nd attempt they showed up with the wrong materials. They only call around 3:30pm and ask if they can come at that time- no advance notice. The repairman that was sent with the wrong materials the 2nd time was really kind and told me that he brought it up for weeks and the office staff kept sending him to other jobs. This is important for those considering Superior Fence: Amber then said that Superior Fence does not make repairs DURING the warranty period rather, they only make repairs at the END of the warranty period all at once. In other words, I- or you- will have to wait 12 months or however long your negotiated warranty period is to have any covered repairs completed. These unique terms are not on the contract and never shared with me until over a month after I brought my concerns to their attention. Only upon elevating my concerns due to the lack of response did Amber share this. Have you ever heard of a company that will not provide service until your warranty expires? I am stuck with a cedar fence that warps due to the sun and it will continue to happen for the life of the fence. Roger advised me that cedar is most durable and suitable for the TX heat. I paid a premium for this type of material. I don't know what they did to my fence and I have been asking for the owner to contact me and offer me assurance that the company will handle my concerns- yet to no avail. Stay away from Superior Fence Co!

Short version: Overpriced with poor communication…read more Long version: I had a couple quotes for a fence from different companies. One was a small local contractor who was a couple thousand cheaper but I have spent the last year working with a very small contractor on my home renovation, and it's been frustrating so I decided to go with a bigger name even though it cost more. The fence itself would be fine except, on the one side that is most visible to the road it comes to a point in the middle and has 2 short panels which is different then the rest of the fence. They started installing post at both ends and met in the middle. I questioned the crew who were very nice, but could speak very limited English in the middle of the second day why there was two post only two feet away in the middle of the fence line, but he just said that's how it worked out. He did move it to be centered so instead of a 6 foot/2 foot panel it's now a 4ft/4ft. Aesthetically it looks ok now. If he had put a 2 foot panel in it would have looked terrible. Either way, this review would have been different if I felt communication from the agent (Steve) was better. First off, he told me they had plenty of stock in the product I choose. I sign the contract and pay half. No communication as promised the next week. I leave a message and the following week he calls back. He says the product I ordered is now out of stock because a big company bought it all and it would be 2 months unless I wanted to upgrade. It was only $350 more and I wanted to get it done so I went with it. Then during the job I called with concerns that the 2 posts were 2 feet apart in the middle of the fence. His reply is that he will come the next morning but there's really nothing can be done since the post were already in the ground. First I think that's an unacceptable answer especially considering the rails weren't attached, etc. The crew end up working late that night. I tried calling again and it went to his VM. The crew then shows up early the next morning and finishes it. I see his vehicle at the edge of my property after they finish. I thought he had come to talk to me but he didn't knock, call, text, etc and I probably wouldn't have made it to his car before he left. Either way he clearly didn't feel the need to contact me despite me calling twice with concerns.

His contract stated that he would be paid half up front and the rest when the job was completed. All pictures are from August 15/16 of 2019. In an effort to try to help out a local company that had done roofing work for me in the past on my old home, I asked them if he could build a deck for us...he stated he could and came out to give me a quote and I paid the initial fee on June 25...he stated he could do the job in about 2 weeks. Now mind you I had no idea of the time frame for such a job...so I agreed with him. He said he would start July 8th...but then he got sick with the flu. So he didn't start at that time. He and another gentleman dropped off materials on July 18 and returned on July 19 to begin the job. They left that day and returned on the following Monday to frame the deck. Every time I asked him when they would return, he stated that he did not want to rush these types of jobs. The contract stated that we had 3 days to cancel...unfortunately that was June 28th. He would continuously not show up, not tell us when he was showing up...do work at nights. I even asked him to not work at night and he and his pregnant wife still came out to work in the evenings. Every delay was due to his wife's baby appointments or traffic. One weekend he didn't even contact us after telling my wife they would be back the next day...then on the next Saturday, while we are out eating he calls and says he is there to work, which was two days after he was supposed to return. He stated that he had a stroke on that Thursday and on Friday he was spending time with his daughter but failed to call us to let us know. On August 11 he and his wife argued with me and my wife where he stated that I was being a bad customer because I was not showing any concern for the fact that he had a stroke weeks ago...and always complaining about the time frame and issues we see with the deck. He also accused us of not wanting to pay him his money. Not one time did we ever mention money. The only thing we did was complain about issues we saw with the deck. The last time we saw them was on Monday, August 12 in the evening, leaving my home...and he did not even say he was done working. Nor did he contact me to say when he would be back... On August 15 the deck was still unfinished so I sent him a text stating that a month had passed on this job and that we wanted him to cease working on the deck and to pick up his equipment and any materials. We would be out of town to move our child into college and did not want them working through the weekend without us there. He and another gentleman came to pick up the items on Friday August 16 in the evening, did not say anything to me and just left as they had done multiple times in the past few weeks. The next week I learned from the city that he wasn't registered with the City of Cibolo and also did not pull a permit to do the work. I contacted another company who came out, pulled permits, got inspections, demolished the work that was there and rebuilt the deck to City code the way we had envisioned for over $2,000 less than Maddox had quoted us.
