They always do an amazing job! Love this place would definitely recommend! Even when my multi-Pooh is matted and they have to cut his hair, They always managed to make him look cute and not like a naked mole rat lol

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I tried this groomer out today because my regular groomer is out of town. I came here with high expectations based on what I've read and seen online. I am very DISAPPOINTED at this place! I was hoping they could get the job done, but they did not deliver. I paid $171 for a haircut, wash, nail trim, eat pluck! NOT WORTH IT! For that much money, I was expecting something acceptable. I've seen other groomers do better than what they delivered. My dog has anxiety when he's being groomed. He's been reported to resist and growl and nip at the clippers from my regular groomer. Yes, it might be difficult, but it IS doable. Look at pics of my dog from other groomers. While my dog was at the groomers, I got a text saying that they are going to charge me $30 EXTRA because my dog is "aggressive." OK. I'll pay for it for you to get the job done well. Few texts later, I was told his haircut couldn't be done cuz he was just trying to bite, even if he had a nozzle on. I feel like I shouldn't have been charged the extra $30 especially since they couldn't get the job done properly. If you're gonna charge me extra, GET IT DONE WELL. It is disappointing because they are already expensive, but the additional cost for a BAD JOB was very unacceptable. I also paid for an eat plucking, and THAT WAS NOT DONE! THE HAIRCUT IS ALSO DONE VERY POORLY!! LOOK AT THE PICTURES!! TAKE YOUR MONEY AND BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE! YOUVE BEEN WARNED. I even asked if I can be there with him next time and they said no. They said it's safer for the dog and staff. Wouldn't it be safer for the dog and staff if the owner is there to calm the dog down? I RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MUNG PUPPY STORE ON WESTERN AVE!! GO THERE INSTEAD! THEY ARE ALSO CHEAPER AND GETS THE JOB DONE WELL NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT JOB IS! ********response to owners comment******** I was informed that a muzzle was put on my dog to prevent biting, so "biting throughout the entire visit" is a false statement. How can a dog bite when it has a muzzle? The purpose of a muzzle is to prevent biting. When you ask a customer to pay extra for the dog's behavior, the customer has the right to expect the grooming to be done well, satisfactory at best. That's what we are paying for. Paying an extra $30 for an unsatisfactory job is unacceptable. I understand the face being hard to deal with since it's near the mouth of the dog. THE REST OF THE BODY SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN AN ISSUE BEING UNEVENLY TRIMMED. I ALSO PAID FOR EAR PLUCKING. THIS SERVICE WAS NOT PROVIDED. IF THE SERVICE WAS NOT PROVIDED, WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT?

*updating my review I've brought my dogs here a few times, after their former groomer Healthy Pup closed, in hopes of finding a new grooming home. Great cuts each time, I did experience disappointment with my last booking but the owner called and handled the situation in a way that I appreciate from a business.

I absolutely love 21Pooch! Bori is a tiny little 3.5lb pup and usually very picky about groomers, but this is the only place where she's genuinely happy to go to! she literally doesn't even look back during drop-off. That alone says everything. Anastasia always make her look perfect. Her cut is consistently clean, even, and fluffy, and they somehow get her face exactly the way I like it every time. It's so hard to find groomers you can trust in LA, and 21Pooch has become the only team I feel completely comfortable leaving her with. They're gentle, professional, and truly care about the dogs they groom. I'm so grateful we found them -- Bori always comes home looking adorable and smelling amazing. Highly recommend to any dog parent who wants reliable, high-quality grooming!

I have nothing but good things to say about 21 Pooch. I have two vastly different dogs - a 4 year old husky shepherd and a 14 year old shih tzu. Making an appt was easy - everything is online and is straightforward. We got a bath and grooming for my shih tzu, and a bath and deshed for my shepsky. My senior shih tzu Bosley has become more anxious and fussy with age, and this was his first time at this particular groomer, so the location and atmosphere was foreign to him. The appt took a bit longer than expected, and when we arrived the groomers explained that he was very nervous and needed many breaks during his grooming. They seemed apologetic, but this humble attitude was not lost on us. We really appreciated that they did not push him and were very careful and considerate and groomed on his schedule. He had surgery 8 weeks ago to remove a cancerous tumor, and we were very glad we chose 21 Pooch as his post-surgery groomer. He was in excellent hands and looked amazing! Our shepsky Luna was an easy groom! She also looked great and the deshed really helped with her winter coat. They have a retail section inside the store with tons of cute clothes and treats for your fur babies. Parking is not the easiest but there is a decently long loading curb along Broadway that you can quickly stop at to drop off/pick up. I highly recommend 21 Pooch. They were professional, compassionate, and I will be back!

First of all I did not cancel and why did you wait over 15days to respond to my review. His appointment wasn't cancelled I paid for the de-matting service and wash. It is not my fault that your website had a same day appointment available but since I have time today let me reiterate how you guys are terribly unprofessional. 1st of all if there wasn't enough time to do the Asian fusion cut the same day you or any of your associates there at 21 pooch could have called me to reschedule. 2nd at the very least offering someone an alternative day that they can bring in there puppy is basic level customer service. You guys have called me multiple times and left voice messages and text messages trying to "clarify what went wrong" so I can remove my review which is crazy and you're now trying to bark back at me with incorrect information. I'm not taking down my review. Do better. ***Additional response*** I was never offered to review any camera footage, another inconsistency. I've added a screenshot of the conversation. You do realize it is my constitutional right to free speech and a matter of legitimate public concern and interest so no matter how many times you sit here to go back and forth with me I'm not removing my honest review about a factual experience. Had you offered another day for me to bring my puppy in we might not be in this position. Now leave me alone like I asked you to before.

I brought my Pomeranian, Kobe, in for a haircut and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The cut was absolutely perfect! he came out looking so fluffy, clean, and stylish. You can really tell they pay attention to detail and know how to work with Pomeranians. I highly recommend this place if you want your pup to be treated with care and come home looking incredible. We'll definitely be back, thank you for making Kobe look his best!

I can't say enough great things about 21Pooch! From the moment I walked in, the staff made both me and my pups feel completely welcomed and cared for. The salon is spotless, organized, and has such a calm vibe that my dogs--who usually gets nervous--were totally at ease. The groomers here truly know what they're doing. They took the time to ask about my dog's coat, sensitivities, and what style I wanted. When I picked them up, they looked absolutely adorable--clean, fluffy, perfectly trimmed, and smelling amazing! You can tell they put so much love and attention into their work. What really stood out was their patience and gentle handling. My dogs came out happy, not stressed, and that alone makes this place worth every penny. Their customer service is also top-tier: friendly updates, clear communication, and so much genuine care. Cookie has back issues, so I'm always extra careful about where I take her, and the team was incredibly gentle, patient, and attentive with her the entire time. They made her feel so comfortable and cared for, which meant a lot to me. I've been a repeat customer for the last 6 months or so. The grooming services are great, and the staff has always been kind. I've only had one issue in the past, and they resolved it quickly, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, my recent experience changed things for me. I had to cancel my appointment today because my dog developed a hot spot in the middle of the night. I called first thing this morning, and instead of empathy or understanding, I was immediately told I'd have to pay $20 to reschedule or $22 to cancel. While I understand that policies exist, the way it was communicated felt cold and transactional. For me, it wasn't about the $22 -- it was the principle. A little grace would have strengthened my loyalty. Instead, it cost them it. It's disappointing, because they do good work. I hope this feedback is helpful for the business long-term. Policies aside, empathy and tone matter. While today's $22 fee may have been gained, losing a loyal, repeat customer is a far greater loss. read more

We've been taking Santiago (4 yo Beagle/Yorkie) to 21Pooch for several months now. We are happy and satisfied with their grooming service. Santiago can be feisty when it comes to nail clipping and the sanitary process. Anastasiia & Valeriia are amazing and very professional. Santiago comes out happy, relaxed and playful. The business also offers items for purchase in the storefront, with many options from treats to doggie accessories. The ambience is pleasant and cozy. We give 10 stars to 21Pooch. read more

We discovered 21Pooch a year ago. We needed somewhere downtown to take our dog to get her nails clipped. We found 21Pooch on Google and decided to take a shot with them. A year later, we were still a customer. We love them! As of this year we started taking our pup to get bathed there and were super impressed with how it turned out: especially with the de-shedding shampoo add-on: it's a miracle! The gals at 21Pooch are super nice, and always welcoming. I would highly recommend them for any of your pet's needs. Thank you, guys! read more

Brought my 8 month old kitten after we discovered she has fleas. Luckily they were able to fit her in. She did well and was nice to the staff. Hopefully this is the last time she needs a flea bath. But she will come Back for her summer trim. read more

The silver lining of our groomer closing in DTLA was we found 21 Pooch! The grooming was excellent--my dog looked and smelled fantastic afterward. I was especially impressed by how gentle and attentive the team was. It's clear they love what they do, and it shows in the way they interact with both pets and their owners. I really appreciated how kind and welcoming everyone was. My dog Tiki is terrible with groomers, and in general, other people. Every other groomer she has been to in her life has been a minimum of 3+ hours, because she squirms her way out of everything! I have gone to groomers that held her in a kennel for 6 hours without working on her, I have had Tiki returned to me with her paw/leg messed up (my guess is from holding it too hard), I have had her come back shaking, and overall, just traumatic experiences. NOW for 21 Pooch... I cannot thank you enough for taking such good care of Tiki she was done in about 1.5 hours which is amazing! She was so happy, not shaking, walking normal, and looks amazing! I 100% will be returning!! read more

I took my 9-year-old Yorkie to 21 Pooch for a bath and an Asian Fusion-style cut, and they did exactly what I asked for. I am in love with my baby's haircut and he smells so good. The receptionist was very friendly, and my dog really liked her. The staff was great, and the place was spotless. Plus, the products they sell are of excellent quality. I highly recommend them--10/10! read more

Returned my cat covered in pee and two broken bleeding nails... they called me and told me my cat was too scared and they couldn't shower her but didn't warn me she was also now dirty and injured (which I found out only when I was there to pick up my cat)... Washing a cat can be hard which is why I chose a grooming service. People working here doesn't seem like they know what they're doing. You also don't get to see what the actual grooming stations looks like , I feel like most grooming places have clear glass window or is open for people to see. Also offered no apologies or compensation... tried to still make me pay for nail trimming which I refused and they do not plan on returning my deposit. read more
