Yet again we wandered up a few streets in Newmarket wondering where to grab a quick bite to eat or some yum cha when we walked past the lane leading down to this restaurant and thought why not. Another venture into the unknown!! We knew or had heard nothing at all about this restaurant before though had noticed it. It is nothing to rave about from the outside looks wise but inside they do have the typical Chinese decorations hanging quite a bit around the place which spruces it up a bit. Apart from that it would be pretty drab and dreary. But then it is the food that counts and not the décor. The service for a start is pretty attentive. Menus brought over quick as , and tea brought over and order taken whenever you are ready. This is not a yum cha restaurant , only dishes. When we walked in the place was not too busy but by the time we left it was definitely picking up. It may be tucked away down a side street but still seems to have a decent following. We were not having much to eat so ordered only a fish dish and the pork with lotus bun. The fish was delicious as was the pork, proven as well by the fact that we did not have to takeaway some as we do at times. One day we will have to return and try some more dishes but for now would say it well deserves a 4/5 rating. read more
