I chose to have the lemon and yoghurt bombe alaska that was fantastic. The right amount of sweetness and tartness. There was a bit of confusion that kind of spoiled our experience as we also ordered the passion fruit and peach chocolate bon bon and was only told after the dish arrived that the passion fruit and peach were only available as shards, which was eight dollars more. We would have appreciated the waitress explaining that some of the chocolates came as shards and the others as bon bons, so we felt like we were tricked into ordering something. The cookie dough macaron was good but didn't remind us of cookie dough, more of a chocolate macaron. We left wanting a lot more from our experience chocolate- and pastry-wise.

It has a crispy lemony coating over a frozen yogurt middle, finished off with stripes of meringue on the top. It all case together so well! The cookies and cream rocher was also very delicious. It was topped with edible gold, had a crunchy cookies and cream outer layer before you hit a velvety chocolate mousse later. Finally, the inside had bits of cookie. It sounds very sweet and sickly but was pleasantly well balanced. I wish they had a Milse where I'm from! Actually maybe not, or else I'd be so broke.

They have always opened to the public 8.30-5pm Monday to Friday however they recently decided to open the cafe. The cafe will be open Monday to Saturday, and open late till 9pm Thursday-Saturday, so it will be a nice treat for those who live near the Beach Haven area. It was because of this that I noticed it and I am really glad I did, they have a whole assortment of chocolates, fudge and amazing chocolate gifts. They were very busy in there today getting chocolate ready for Easter, and if you want you can get a big chocolate with your name on it. As well as selling to the public they have a huge number of businesses that they supply to such as hotels, restaurants and shops. Today I had a coffee and biscuit combo that went down very well, and I tried the fudge - vanilla, chocolate and black sambuca - all of them were very good, but I especially enjoyed the black sambuca. I think I will come here often for my chocolate fix.

It's a super cute, quaint little shop in Beach Haven. When I wondered up to it this morning an EXTREMELY friendly lady welcomed me with the warmest of smiles and ushered me inside. She told me all about the store and the things they sold and offered and their hours. She was not pushy about sales or anything just genuinely filling me in on their business. I had a nosy around and loved everything I saw. I could find a gift for every single person I know, they were all wonderful and unique. I bought a three pack of truffles to share with my mom and sister. We nibbled and shared them between us and they were beautiful. It was only $5 for the pack, which I don't think is bad at all for quality chocolate. Extra bonus - they are open for deserts and hot drinks on some nights and there are ice cream scoops sold too. Everything you could want for a sweet tooth! I'll be popping in for desert very soon.

I must rave of their pancake size portions they are really something, and decorated with such personal touch. I decided that day that I would go for the Kids Pancake which was served with seasonal fruit and a nice surprise. I won't spoil the secret as it was cute and appropriate. Please do try this delight out there Original Dutch Poffertjes which is like a pancake puff, holy moly, really delicious, and can make one go back many times again. No need to blush, it's my fetish too. This was crispy well cooked bacon, set onto Dutch pancake with icing sugar, special syrup and banana. When longingly asking for more bacon, this dish only gets better. In summary, if you like bacon on your pancakes .. Eat at Dutch Delight, if you don't like Bacon, then you and I have nothing to say to each other.

It's one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it jobbies. Let me tell you though, it's worth driving round the block for... What's cool about The Gelato Workshop is that they make all the ice cream on site - pretty impressive given the size of the shop - and although they've only been open a short time, they seem pretty keen to throw out some interesting flavours. Think along the lines of bubblegum or candy cane and gingerbread for the festive season. On my first visit, I found it near to impossible to choose, but after several tasters, just couldn't go past gingerbread. It tasted so authentic, as though they had just put a coupley wee gingerbread men in a blender? Maybe they did. Regardless, it was off the hook and v.generous for a single scoop. So much so that I had to lick and drive in order to make it to the park down the road without spilling. Looking forward to heading back and trying more flavours. Keep an eye out on their FB page for deets on new flavours!

The owner, Ann is very lovely and welcoming. Her space is such a delight- really like her giant chalkboard door and her massive chalkboard wall inside that is covered in chalk drawings. Very cool high-backed chairs to lounge on at the cute little tables. Awesome to see the cupcakes on white shelves just near the window and so cool that they are different flavours everyday- easy check on Facebook with updates. Can't miss the big pink cupcake sign outside on the front or the sign near the main road. Definitely in need of a revisit to try a new flavour from her interesting and sweet range. Particularly interested in a savoury one!
