I have know and worked with the Team at Muse Realty for 5 years and I cant say enough great things…read moreabout them. They are professional and make you feel like you are their only client. Customer Service at its best. They are the property managers of a property that i own and that can be stressful, but they make it as easy as it gets for me. Joe V

I estimate I lost about $25,000 by deciding to have Muse manage my rental property. Over the six…read moreyears I was with them, all three of the tenants they had supposedly vetted, simply stopped paying and/or trashed my house. After realizing in year three how much money I'd lost up until that point (only $11,000 then), I tried to fire them, only to learn that, due to shady contract language, I had to boot out the current tenant in order to get rid of Muse also. Knowing what I know now, I should have kicked them all to the curb then. Instead, my losses were as follows: 1) The first renter just quit paying. It took two months to get him out so, after the deposit, I lost a month's worth of rent that Muse said they sent to Collections but is now too old to get back (around $1,300). 2) My second tenant started having problems paying and, by the time they got her out, they told me she had caused damages totaling around $6,000 - half of which Muse forced me to pay for. Muse also threw away the washer and dryer the renter had broken even though both appliances were covered under warranty and could have been replaced for free, adding another roughly $1,700 in irretrievable losses. 3) After booting the second tenant, I realized Muse had not been increasing rent with every lease renewal as they should have been. At this point, that came to a little over another $5,000 in losses. 3) My third (and final) tenant wrecked my house, leaving behind $14,000 worth of damage. Some of this included such simple things as never replacing the air filters (which meant I had to replace all the ductwork) - something Muse was supposed to be checking for during every six month inspection. I should have walked away on day one when Tami accused me of leaving poop in one of the toilets during the first showing. My mom and I had spent 13 hours the day before making it spotless. Turns out Tami hadn't bothered to check, nor to notify me, that they were letting people into my house, unsupervised, and that one of the potential renters had decided to use the facilities. Things like that have had me working on this review for the entire six years I was with Muse as it was the only thing I felt I had any real control over. I will say that Deborah and Ke'Arah did consistently respond and always made me feel like a valued customer. Everyone else however, bullied me, refused to take responsibility for blatantly obvious errors, or simply ignored me when they didn't feel like responding. The one good thing to come from Muse Realty's continual decline in service over the years was that it forced me to look for another agency. I'm happy to report that I found one that is actually competent and keeps me in the loop. I strongly recommend others look elsewhere as well. Your pocketbook and your sanity will thank you.

Founders is a credit union in the York county and locally surrounding areas. Their loans rates are…read moretypically lower than traditional banks, while also typically offering higher interest rates on savings accounts. They also offer interest payments on checking accounts, which is unheard of with traditional banks. As a member of Founders, if the company over-achieves, a bonus dividend can be issued once per year, back to the members of the credit union. Founders takes active involvement in the community such as donating $10,000 to Cheraw High School for a new computer lab, working with the Laurens County school district to distribute 2,000 child identification kits to students, and sponsoring local high school sports teams.

I made it very clear that I would only consider refinancing if it provided a substantial financial benefit. At some point, my information was passed along to Monica without clear explanation. When Monica contacted me, I again clearly stated that I was actively preparing to pursue a home mortgage and that I did NOT want my credit pulled under any circumstances. We had multiple conversations where I emphasized this. After determining that refinancing would not be beneficial, I stopped communicating intentionally. On May 20th, while in the process of preparing for pre-qualification on a construction loan, sitting on my deck, I was shocked to see a hard inquiry from Founder's Federal Credit Union on my credit report. This directly impacted my credit score at a critical time. I immediately reached out to Monica, questioning why my credit was pulled without my consent. When I was finally able to speak with her, she stated that because she had been unable to reach me for a couple of weeks, she "assumed" it was acceptable to proceed. This is completely unacceptable. Lack of response does not equal authorization, especially when I had already clearly stated the opposite. I then escalated the issue. Unfortunately, my initial conversation with Blair was equally frustrating, as responsibility was shifted back onto me with claims that prior discussions or past consent was justified the inquiry. I firmly reiterated that any prior consent was not current and did not apply to this situation. It wasn't until I spoke with Donna that my concerns were properly acknowledged. She reviewed the communication history, recognized that I had been very clear about not authorizing a credit pull, and had the inquiry removed. Although I appreciate her taking action, the damage to my credit score has not yet been resolved. An apology alone is not an adequate resolution when a customer's credit has been impacted due to an unauthorized decision. I expect greater accountability, improved internal processes, and stronger safeguards to ensure this does not happen to others.
