Bidding, construction, and gate commissioning were a breeze. All team members were extremely professional, knowledgable, and responsive. Detail: We reviewed four companies in the Austin area for a fence extension and automated gate for security purposes. Absolute Fence & Gate were outstanding to work with: they came in cheaper than all other alternatives, were the most responsive with clear communication, and were very knowledgable about the options within our space. Amanda was extremely responsive and helped us scope out our initial ask to coordinate an onsite bid walk quickly and helped sort out billing. Travis helped develop our initial concept for a gate into an efficient, turn-key solution that would abide by local codes and fit within our budget. After clarifying our scope, the project was completed at a lightning pace. They staggered the required demo of our old fence until the day they'd be able to erect the fencing to minimize the amount of time our house was exposed to the street. The work crews were very professional and Travis and his team clearly explained the scope each day and progress updates. In addition, Cade and the gate operator crew were outstanding. They set up the motor and made sure all items were functional tested. They did a terrific job commissioning the equipment and explaining how to use it. The commissioning team also noted that our gate operator had a minor issue and contacted the manufacturer for a same-day under warranty solution. The level of service was outstanding, and I was very pleased to have a total turnkey solution. During the construction, Travis would check in with the teams and ensure quality work which resulted in zero punch items at final walk. Travis even performed a final QA check on the operator to make sure operation was up to their quality standard. Every team member was very knowledgeable and professional. They provided excellent advice and suggestions and helped us craft our gate idea into a solution with a terrific product!

There is 16ft between each post causing the middle of the panels to sag and flex. The two gates are not square and latches were not even installed. The owner stated he doesnt buy latches for customers so we can buy our own and he would come back to install it (major red flag). Needless to say, we installed our own latches. This simple fence should have been a one day project but was extended out to two days due to the crews working about an hour at a time and them constantly running out of material needing to make the half hour trip into town. And work only seemed to become a priority once I raised concerns about completion. I'm kicking myself for paying over $6000 for something that I will probably end up having to complete redo in the next couple of years. Foley's Fencing should do us all a favor and remove the word "Fencing" from their name since they can barely do that.

They placed additional unneeded posts on side already posted steel fence post, 8"now only 6 foot, the posts were not vertical and that gate falls open on it's own. There was a 1 inch gap between gates which aided in the gate falling open, even with latch hardware installed. Most of the support frame was re-used 2x4 lumber and none was treated for the weather. The was no cross bracing, and the 2x4 frames were not square, didn't go to the edges of the hinges. The Entire fence (8' to either side) was lowered to match the hinges. Even with the addition of scab boards from the rails of the fence, the failed to meet the hinges. That means of a total of 6 screws only two were actually into the misaligned rails, leaving the other 4 hinge screws supported by the 5/8" cedar pickets. Called about repairs was told he lived 2 1/2 hours away so it would take time. It is now three weeks aft the notification and not a sound from him. IMHO if he asks for your business get a bond or you'll get a crud job that I now have to pay for a second time. I'm in Temple, TX, silly Yelp has me in California.

I said go ahead.. fast forward they finished and sent a bill for 275.50.. more than double their quote.. I never agreed to agree to paying more work than double what they quoted.. they just said it was more work than they thought it would be.. I paid to get it over with and said they needed to pick up the old posts and trash they left in the yard and was told they would do it right away.. I texted him at 10 pm that night and I would stop payment on the check if the posts were not picked up by morning.. so they did go by pick up the posts with that threat.. The final straw was they deposited my check for $275.50 2 times.. once via mobile deposit and then deposited at their bank the next day, and I had to file a claim against the double deposited check at my bank for a check obviously deposited twice of same check number and amount to them.. not an pleasant fence repair experience...
