When I dropped my laptop onto the concrete pool deck he gave me the option for it to be used with an external monitor by disconnecting the built in screen. I am currently writing this review on that laptop, 2 years later. I also had an 8 year old iMac that took a head first dive off a table onto a tile floor, which smashed the screen and who knew what else. I was pessimistic about its future, given that it uses a mechanical hard drive. However, Alex was able to replace the broken screen in less than a day and in an extraordinary turn of events, I had a functioning computer once again. However, the harshly treated 8 year old hard drive started bogging down a month or 2 later, not surprising given it's age and the recent 3 foot hard landing on the tiles. Alex is currently replacing the busted drive and restoring its contents from my backups. I should have many more years of service from that. If I can only stop dropping them onto hard surfaces! With Alex's expertise I will have paid a fraction of the money that the Apple store would have extracted from me during my ham-fisted season of Mac abuse! I could not be happier with the service I have received. Alex has saved my bacon repeatedly during a time when I can't really afford to buy new Apple hardware.

I returned when they said and powered the new one up in-store and found that they had only transferred my desktop. I inquired and they had no idea nor did they have my old computer. The two guys huddled in the other room and I heard one of them say "~he pays more for French keyboards"... Mine was French. I'm a trucker so I have more receipts/expenses than the rest of the public; I lost $50,000.00 in tax receipts because they were from multiple unfiled years. Ian got back to me and said the good news was the photos were still there. The problem was the Plastic Case it was in. (the enclosure) He gave me 3 options, 1 being pick it back up NO charge. 2 a new enclosure. I picked door # 2 3 new External hard drive either 1 or 2 T.
