I just wanted to take the time to acknowledge Forest City Auto Glass for an exceptional great…read morequality job, that the owners Jay and his wife did for me on replacing my windshield. They make a great mom and pop team. I told him that payment for the job was coming out of my pocket, because my glass wasn't covered under my basic insurance coverage. So he was very considerate and negotiated a very fair price with me. Better than anyone else who quoted me. Jay is a family guy and he is not greedy or looking to retire off of one customer. He believes in doing the best quality work for the best prices without cutting corners or gouging customers. His wife was also very accommodating and very genuine. I fully recommend this very trustworthy local company for all your auto glass needs. I Thank you Jay and your family for a great experience and a job well done. In April of this year, I booked and paid for a detailing appointment for May. Alex reached out to…read morelet me know they'd had a conflict and needed to reschedule - no problem. Unfortunately before the appointment, I had a family emergency and needed to reschedule. I gave two weeks' notice, and Alex explicitly told me rescheduling would be "no problem" and to let them know when I wanted to rebook. When I reached out to reschedule June 7th, I received no response. I reached out again on June 16, no response. I tried calling their listed number, and it doesn't accept incoming calls. What concerns me most is that when I contacted them pretending to be a new customer on June 18, they responded immediately and were happy to book me for July 4. The moment I mentioned that I had already prepaid for a previous appointment and needed to apply that payment, communication stopped completely. When I emailed to finally get a refund, Alex claimed the staff had been away, despite being in contact with someone two days before sending the email. I remained polite and patient throughout this entire process, but being ignored after payment while new inquiries are answered promptly is unacceptable. At this point, I no longer feel comfortable having this business near my vehicle or home and am pursuing a refund through my credit card issuer. The refund Alex assured me was coming still has not been issued. Very disappointing experience.
