Five handpumps with a mixture of regulars (Tribute and Doom Bar) plus guest beers, often from Devon and Cornwall. Newton Abbot's Teignworthy brewery is usually featured; other local beers include Hunters, Jollyboat, Exe Valley and O'Hanlons. Great lunchtime grub; roast dinners are particularly good value and I can also vouch for the steaks. Bands Saturday nights, some of which are quite good. Karaoke Friday nights - if you like that sort of thing! They also have darts and euchre evenings. For cider lovers the Thatchers Gold is not at all bad, but there is also Gaymers perry and Blackthorn.

The prices are competative and it does provide a good value venue for the people in Paignton. It has a good location right on the front opposite the green and the beach. They have a variety of live music to suit most people. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great, it does get crowded particularly at the weekend but it is a good alternative to the club scene in Torquay.

Does food though I haven't tried it is probably good, inexpensive £7 for cottage pie and chips. Should be busier during the day. Jukebox. Well kept. Well impressed. Lots of TVs for sport. At least 2 pool tables. I have played pool here a few times and it's really lively on a Sunday night. Karaoke etc on the evening.
