Beware! I had an appt to meet for 2025 taxes. No one there. No notice. I submitted Rita and paid Rita. I paid IRS via voucher. Stephens was to submit IRS and Ohio taxes electronically. I am due a refund from Ohio. Weeks went by. No refund rec'd. Called office, answering person said "Oops, we forgot to call you we need..." I had submitted that info on their secure email but sent again. Called 5 weeks later and spoke with Stephen, the accountant, he confirmed it was actually sent in (call on5/5/26). Still no refund. CAlled Ohio tax agency, they confirmed they have received nothing. Calling Stephens tax office trying to get the confirmation number IRS and Ohio were submitted...no answer. Now I am trying to call IRS to see if the 1040 was ever submitted and this is my worst nightmare. I have never encountered this level of sloppiness ie misconduct.
