I moved up to northern central florida and was in desperate need for a manicure, so ainasked a friend and she recommended 19 Nails. She is also new to the area and this was on her visit list. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was a walk in, i was told to sign in, and im a little slow sometimes, i didnt realize you sign on on the Ipad, Ah technology![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Signed jn, and was asked to have a seat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The gentleman who was finishing up an pedicure said hed be over in a minute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didnt wait very long, he came over and started to remove the last polish I had, a quick soak and the dremel got me down to base. Im a dip manicure kind of gal, so i had selected my color and we got that knocked out of the park fast! The color is So rich qnd pretty! The only issue, is that i didnt realize that The UV light didnt cure the full thumb nail and another nail that wasnt fully cured. It just left me with 2 dull patches. I've been there a number of times, and had really enjoyed it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I always ask for the same person for my pedicure and manicure. The last two times, my "person" wasn't available and I was handed off to someone who doesn't seem to understand ANY English[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I asked for the #2 Pedicure. It was the worst pedicure I've ever had. She did nothing about my callouses and left my nails unfiled so they get caught on my socks. I fixed it myself last night. Then, I asked to have my acrylics removed, as I'm going to be doing a lot of projects requiring very short nails. I wanted them removed, and just a clear coat over the top. Instead, she removed the acrylics and then put several coats of gel on them. This is not helpful, and they've alreay peeled off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also had to remind her TWICE I wanted the acrylics removed because she started with the dremel as though she was going to do a fill. YES, I told her 3 times what I wanted[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. THEN, I go to pay. There's supposed to be a 5% discount for cash. It wasn't given to me. She also charged my for the $65 pedicure, when it was the $35 dollar one I requested, and she didn't even do that well. My bill came out to $113.00. I asked to see what the charges were and then I discovered the $65 pedicure and then the $48 for my acrylics - which were removed and it was HER choice to put gel on when I said I didn't want it and she ignored me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked about the cash discount and again, she ignored me. Guess who didn't get a tip - since she helped herself to a pretty hefty one[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager said she would give me a discount next time. Well, I probably won't be going back[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Their prices are getting higher and higher and it's not advertised anywhere. My friend went the following day and they charged her $95 for the $65 pedicure and she didn't get a cash discount, either. First time visiting nail salon and made an appointment for 1:00 pm for me and my daughter for Saturday. We arrived at 11:50 am and had to wait till 2:00 before anyone started my nails. My daughter waited another 20 mins for her nail tech. People were coming in saying they also made appointments and would leave after waiting 30 mins with no service. My nail tech kept taking calls, stopping to talk to customers walking in and taking personal calls. By this time I was irritated. She also wouldn't listen to what I wanted. I asked for round shaped nails and received almond. She stated they didn't have the colors I wanted but would find something similar. I asked for three different colors but she refused and wanted to paint with just two. I had scheduled for polish on my toes as well but because they were already almost 3 hours in I declined the service. My daughter's nail tech hurt her during filing her nails and didn't have any hello kitty art so she did some glitter art and placed a letter on one nail instead. Nothing was what we wanted and it took 3 hrs for just two full sets with gel. Then when I was checking out they charged me $152!!!!! $71 for full set $8 for special shape, $16 for gel!!! Absolutely the worst nail service I've ever experienced and absolutely ridiculously overpriced!!!! Will never be back!!!! read more
