Have edited my review below: I visited close friends and family this thanksgiving and looked up the City of Evanston parking beforehand. City wide, there's free parking on holidays. I parked my car in the lot in thanksgiving intending to stay two full days. On Saturday morning when I went to pay my ticket, I was confused & believed the thanksgiving day discount wasn't validated. I called for help on the ticket machine intercom. The woman on the other side told me that she couldn't do anything, because free parking was only available if I had come in and left the garage on thanksgiving day. So to clarify, I asked, if I had simply left the garage Thursday night and driven right back in with a new ticket, would I have gotten free parking for that day? And she said yes. I tried to protest this silly loophole, but she told me to shut up and pay the full ticket price because that was the only was I was going to get out, and then hung up on me. Now, I grudgingly paid the ticket because I had a long drive back home & reached out to SP+ customer service later. Turns out the discount is factored into the machine, and the associate I spoke to was rude and misinformed. She didn't bother to calculate/explain the pricing, in turn misleading me into thinking I paid more than I should. I'm glad that, nationally it seems, SP+ garages has a good handle on its ticketing machines & pricing, and is not exploiting their customers on this issue. Thanks again for the follow up, I think it speaks volumes for a business to reach back out to its customers.

Midwest SpeedPark was highly recommended by other Yelpers and now I see why. First of all, I love the communication. Upon booking your timeslot, you instantly get an email and text confirming your booking. You can even manage your booking if anything changes such as dates, times, or even if you're running a little bit late. Upon arrival, I love how the property is gated and you cannot get in there without a code. Cool points already as I felt my car would be secure since we had to leave it for 6 days. Once we got there, you scan a code to confirm you're there and an attendant comes out and greets you. He started unpacking our luggage to transfer them to the shuttle that would take us to the airport and then parks our car. You get a receipt to keep. After we got back from vacation and got all our luggage from baggage claim, you simply click on the link that they text you to let them know you're back and they will send a shuttle to pick you up. They will let you know which door to wait at. Once we got back to the Midway SpeedPark property, our car was ready as they already put it near the front, ready to be loaded with the luggage. It was such a seamless process that I was very impressed! I will definitely be using them again on future vacations. Please make sure to tip your driver generously as they do a great job.

Only issue is that the stairwells are used as restrooms by homeless people. The entire area reeks of urine especially in the summer. Another issue is that the number listed is answered by someone who cannot speak English and I have no idea what he's saying. This is unacceptable. They offer a monthly pass for $130/month It's a shady area where strange people hang out. They'll ask for the time, change, and "can I use your phone?"

But when I had a known defect, and it cost me $2,000 to fix on the road at a dealer (and 2 nights hotel over a weekend after being towed from middle of nowhere), they just lied. They promised to get back to me. I understand being busy, so I waited for salesman to return call. Then I escalated to manager on duty when I stopped in store (and returned their inventory control fobs). No response after 4 phone calls. Then I escalated to Sales manager. Promise to resolve and work with service manager. Multiple calls later no response since before Memorial day. We are now well past 4th of July and looking hard at Labor Day. Even if they would not honor the problem, I asked if they would reach out to Subaru of America on my behalf to see they support. So 2.5 out of 5 for commitment to customer. The part that really frustrated me is they screwed up filling my license plate transfer for 3 months that they charged for. That set me up for an Deerfield cop with ALPR to give me a ticket that took me hours and hours of time at: - the Secretary of State, - talking to my insurance company, - talking to McGrath (at various levels and waiting for someone else to be in 'tomorrow'), - talking to my lawyer, - calling Springfield office of Secretary of State, and - a whole day to drive up to Waukegan for the ticket costing me more gas, tolls and a day of work. So 1 out of 5 for following their contracted, legal, fiduciary duty to file paperwork with State of Illinois (by simple computer website). I hate seeing a License plate holder from any of the McGrath dealerships on cars around Chicagoland. TLDR: They lie and don't follow up to their commitments.

The parking garage isn't heated or temperature controlled, if that's important to you, but there's plenty of parking spaces and everything but the very top floor (9) is covered, so no scraping or brushing snow off your car after work in the winter, and your car won't be as hot as it would have been sitting in the sun all afternoon in the summer. I've been parking here every day for the last year or so, and my car has always been safe. Though I was told otherwise when signing up for an account, the garage seems to require an access card every time you enter or exit, which requires rolling down the window and scanning a card (instead of using a garage door push-button opener or iPass-style opener), which is more effort than most other nearby garages. The garage does allow 24/7 access though, even on the weekends, so that's definitely a plus -- it's essentially free downtown parking if you're visiting, shopping downtown or working on the weekend, which is a plus over other garages I looked at before signing up here.

The staff is very nice and helpful. I make a quick call 5 minutes before I want my car. It is always ready. You lease by the month and if you do not live in the attached building, it is $350. Per month 24 hour in and out.
