I normally get a touch up on my color, she trims up my hair, she also styles it (sometimes she uses a straight iron to make my hair straight & smooth) other times she curls my hair, if I'm headed out for a night on the town. Most times she waxes my brows for me as well. A typical visit includes a stop at the color bar where the freshening up of my hair color takes place. The chairs are comfortable, & there are snacks nearby if you need a little something to hold you over until lunch or dinner. Every time as soon as I enter, I'm greeted by the receptionist, & she asks if I need anything to drink - a soda, or water (you can get a canned soda, or a glass with ice) they also have wine & bourbon as well if you're really having a bad day or week. I usually sit at the color bar while the touch up is being done, as well as the time it takes for it to process. After that, it's off to the shampoo bowl (which is probably my favorite part)! The color is rinsed off, I get shampood, conditioner, & toner. This is also where my brows are done. Lastly we go to her chair where she trims & styles my hair. The salon is very well laid out, there are 4-5 salon chairs laid out in each section, so when your stylist is taking care of you it doesn't get so loud that you can't carry on a conversation. At J Michael's you can get a manicure, pedicure, a facial, you can have your makeup done, get a massage, lash extensions, and even microblading. They are definitely a full service salon. It's bright & airy, people are friendly, & there's always music playing, & it's generally a wonderful place to get pampered. There's plenty of parking just outside the door of the salon. I'd definitely recommend J Michael's if you're looking for a good place to be spoiled. The products Paige uses on my hair leaves it feeling soft & looking healthy. I typically buy several of those she uses on me, every other visit so I can keep my hair looking just as nice as when I leave the salon.

Natural lashes have a 4-6 week shed cycle but in my 4+ years of having extensions, I started seeing gaps more frequently after coming to Skintuition. Additionally, during two of the appointments, lash artist, Iliana, glued multiple lashes to my lower lid and had to rip them off. Ouch!! I noticed that the quality of the application was poor when I could not run a spoolie through my lashes. Spoolie got caught on large clumps of glue and would make lashes turn up, fall over, or just fall out (within 1 week). Appropriate retention rarely held past 1 week. I'm leaving this lash artist frustrated mainly because my natural lashes are now weak, I have gaps, and I'm not able to get an appropriate full-set applied for another 4-6 weeks due to the damage caused. I was forced to get Iliana's work removed and evaluated because I left feeling like maybe I was the problem. Maybe my lashes were having issues holding her work. She claimed that I was the only person having these issues.... Nope. The new lash artist (14+ years experience) advised me that lliana's extension quality had caused a significant amount of damage to my natural lashes. I would understand if Skintuition was charging model prices for this quality of work, but to pay 100+ dollars for volume fills only to have to return (on multiple occasions) 2-3 days later to have them filled again!!! Is ridiculous. I've uploaded photos of Iliyana's work (only 2 weeks post full-volume set!) to show the large clumps of glue, extensions that pulled out my natural lashes but still held on while stuck to the other ends of extensions!, extensions stuck together, and the gaps in my naturals. After having experience with 10+ artists and over 4 years of experience with extensions, I'm only leaving this review to spread awareness of my experience because this work must be supervised and reevaluated. *And please don't respond asking me if I performed my aftercare correctly. This work has nothing to do with aftercare.*

Beth is great at designing styles with minimal direction. I love being able to sit down in her chair and ask her to make me "look like summer time" and trust that I'll look great when she is done. She also takes the time to teach me to style my hair before I leave the salon, which makes a world of difference. Also, while this salon does have some products available for sale, I've never been pushed to purchase any. I personally appreciate not having a relaxing trip to the salon ruined by a sales pitch. Sam let me know the type of shampoo she was using on my hair and why, then helped me determine which style to go with for my event. That woman gaslit me for years about the health of my hair. For context I have dark brown hair and wanted to go blonde. I did not know anything about hair as I was quite young, but when you go to a professional you except them to give you knowledge and explain what is good and bad for your hair. Sue allowed me to go platinum blonde for years. It was gorgeous I will admit. I loved my blonde hair, but a few years in I started to receive comments that my hair looked unhealthy from many people in my life except the only person who was a professional in regards to hair. I trusted her to tell me if I needed to stop bleaching it and began all of our sessions with "Is my hair still healthy and should I continue dying it" Every single time she said that my hair was perfectly healthy. Even when my hair began to fall out she told me it was still healthy. When I told her that my hair was falling out and I no longer felt it was healthy she changed what she had said and told me "I've told you for years that dying your hair would destroy it". I have never gone back and every stylist I've gone to since says they would never have dyed my hair blonde as it would make my hair fall out. My hair is still damaged almost two years later. Sue is a liar and should have been fired years ago.
