I did not remember I had the certificate until I received a second certificate from another (Body Recovery at 825 Ring Rd -highly recommended as their gift certificates do not expire). I reached out this business and the owner indicated she had no reason to honor the certificate because my second certificate was not from her business. This is extremely poor customer service, and I do not recommend purchasing any certificates from this company. Get your service up front. I am from NC but I was visiting a friend in Kentucky. My friend recommended Positive Waves to me because of all my hip and lower back pain. The massage wasn't the type of massage I was used to but OMG, it had my hips and back feeling brand new when I walked out of there!! The therapist definitely knew what she was doing. She knew where all my tension/pain was just by touching my body!! I was amazed by her skill and knowledge. I went to Positive Wave with Jade under the high praise of a friend who had a similar problem with a rotator cuff tear. She had also suffered for years with back pain and found astonishing relief and improvement with Jade. So I went with a rotator cuff and bicep tear after a serious fall on ice. I booked a deep tissue massage. She communicated with me and confirmed the time and also sent me the price list. I agreed and showed up to my appointment as scheduled. When I arrived, I completed a form and indicated the area of issue which is my upper back and also indicated again that I needed a deep tissue massage. This lady completely ignored my request/concerns and tried to do whatever she wanted. I told her again during the session that I came in for a deep tissue massage. She started lecturing me on how I don't need a tissue massage and that my back tissues are being damaged from deep tissue massages. I told her again that I needed deep tissue massage but she kept talking and talking and I told her to do whatever she pleases. I then asked her the name of what she was doing and she said it has no name but she learned it on her own. I paid, tipped and left. To be honest this is the worse massage I have gotten in my entire life. My back is very tense and there is no relief at all from whatever techniques she said she was using. I am not sure who paid these folks to leave her business 5 stars, but this is a negative rating business. I would NOT recommend anyone to go there. I hope she is not paying to have her negative reviews removed. We need to be honest and transparent as people are paying $90 or more with their hard earned money for these useless sessions. read more

Jade is AMAZING at what she does. She isn't just someone who does massages, she talks to you and explains to you what she sees and ask you questions during your session. She was honest and told me I needed to come back and I was very up front and told her I would be back. I left feeling so much better, but also knowing that I definitely have to come back. Words cannot describe how happy I was that I came across her business. I scrolled across her business on Yelp and read the reviews for so long but felt she would be too busy and I wanted something immediate. I called on Friday and had an appointment on Saturday. She talks to you about why you're tight in certain areas, why she's massaging different areas than the pain it isn't directly located at and treats the root of the pain not the symptom.
