I have been to many vinyl stores and this is the only one that I would highly recommend for a few reasons: the lady at the counter was friendly, the place was clean with no funky smells, and I think k most importantly, the records are in alphabetical order BY VINYL. The owner took the time to go through the last names of the artists and actually place everything in alphabetical order. Such a great concept. No other vinyl store has done this. THE BEST SHOP IN PNW. My god the selection in this place is absolutely mint. I come home with my goodies, I listen to all the gems... and REGRET not spending more time in the store. You will get lost in the music as they are always bumping something really good on the tables. The $5-10 mystery packs have BY FAR THE BEST selection in the PNW. By this point I have to stop myself from spending $200 everytime I come through...the selection is just that diverse. For a small shop, the shop owner really has talent. I've never seen anyone with a passion for music like the owner of this store. 10/10 recommendations, and she KNOWS her inventory. I've shot names here and there, and instantly I get a confirmation on its availability. Really cant type enough, the shop has become a highlight if me week. I dont even shop for records in OR anymore, I'd rather drive here. You also typically get a free protective plastic sleeve on the vinyl you buy here...WHICH NO OTHER SHOP IS DOING! I love a good record shop. This shop is small and packed with great selections. The person working was very friendly and made COVID protocols known to everyone that walked in. She also gave everyone a breakdown how their records are organized. We had to leave early to meet friends and couldn't spend a lot of time looking, but will be back! read more

Neat little record shop in the downtown area. This small space is sprinkled with a bit of everything. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and the manager (or owner?) politely offered any assistance I might need. I always have a few selections I'm on the hunt for, but it was hard not to thumb through their ever changing catalog of gems, rare finds, dollar scores and meticulously kept merchandise. I appreciated the notes on most of the used used vinyl (I.e. record condition, sound, etc..) and the pricing was just right for each piece. read more

Great local treasure of a record store. Miki grades things like I would grade them - you aren't going to find any crap condition records here. She told me she plays every record through when she buys/prices, as sometimes you can't see small blemishes. I LOVE THIS. You can trust the quality here. Pricing is fair, not really going to find any bargains here - they know what they have. Needless to say I snatched that up! :-D I'm also pleased they take very careful steps to ensure their customers are comfortable during the age of coronavirus. I browsed for about an hour and during that time customers came and went who were on a first name basis with the shop manager. They discussed special orders and held items. I recently asked for help finding a unique record or single and the response I got was, "I sure don't. Sorry about that. Good luck." Given what I observed with regular customers I was a little surprised at how matter-of-fact the response was. read more

My advice? Start here first. The store is clean, well organized, and all the vinyl is in great condition. Super friendly staff. It really shows how much they care about what they procure. I have been in a couple times, and I always have to limit my visit to my lunch hour or I would easily drain my bank account. I always find stuff I would never see in stores over in Portland. You will not find a more organized, very neat, reasonably priced vinyl record store. In most stores you have to go through every record or at least the entire "letter" section to see if the record you are looking for is in stock, but at 1709 everything is in alphabetical order. It was so easy. The owners are great and every record I looked at was clean and with a sleeve. This store does it right! read more
