Indiana area at present, but sadly, where we had done our laundry (in an Auburn laundromat) Auburn has closed down all but (((one))) laundromat!!! Drugs were being basted in the North Street Laundry, and a fancy shop bought out the Jackson Street place. No attendants were at either of these, and while the 3rd one does have an attendant, you can not get your clothes clean at the 15th Street Laundry! Sis and I started to look for someplace else. We remembered that Garrett used to have one, that we loved. We didn't know it had burnt out; but they have this new place they call "The Wash"; and the owners are knocking their socks off to keep the machines up and have just finished laying new carpet and flooring! Someone is on call all hours they are open, and they are as sweet and helpful as can be! As long as we live fairly close, this is the place for us! We love it, love it, love it!!! Lynn & Christina

Larger ones available. Dryers are $.25 for five minutes. The facility is clean and well maintained. Lots of signage about rules. Also, if it matters to you, the only "Art" on the wall was a big poster advertising United Healthcare. Stocked vending machine for snacks and laundry supplies. I give it about an 8 on the depresh-o-meter owing to the quality of the decorations, (see above). Cons- top 40 pop music blasting loudly. Pros - the guy who owns the car sales lot also owns this place, so he's on premises. All the machines were working order. Halfway through my wash, a whole bunch of people showed up and, owing to the size, it got weird and claustrophobic and there were crying babies, but that is to be expected and is no fault

What more do you need? Early birds will appreciate the 6am opening time and the door automatically locks at 9pm. Need to do some laundry? Then come visit Dooley's.

The facilities are spotless and while we were doing our laundry the machines were being washed and the rugs were being vacuumed. Kelly was fabulous and took the time to walk us through the use of cards instead of fumbling with quarters. She clearly takes pride in her work and it shows. The choices are 30# washers at $4.25 each, 50# washers at $6.50 each, and 60# washers at $7.50 each. One thing I appreciate is their use of soft water, reducing the amount of detergent needed. Speaking of - there is a nice selection of laundry items at a reasonable price of only $1 each. The dryers are 50 cents for 10 minutes. The bathroom was also very clean, which is rare in many laundromats I have been in while traveling the past 6 years. I will definitely return!
