Please be mindful and respect where people live. This building is breathtaking. This is the most prestigious building in manhattan.

I've lived in a building managed by Alex for the past three years, and I truly can't say enough…read morepositive things about my experience with him and the Building Equity Management team. Alex is kind, understanding, and consistently communicative. He often replies to emails within minutes! Sokol, the super, has also been wonderful to work with. He's incredibly responsive, helpful, and always quick to address anything that comes up in the building. It's rare to find a team so reliable and easy to work with in property management, and it's made my experience living here seamless and stress-free. I'm very grateful to have had such a positive experience and would highly recommend Alex and the team to anyone.

I would recommend staying away from renting in a building managed by this group. Brandon Friedman…read moremade a conscious effort to keep our security deposit by billing us for "damages" that were either there before we moved in or normal day-to-day wear. Fortunately, we had dated photos of the apartment showing it was in the same shape as when we moved in a few years prior, and we were able to get most of our deposit back after a lot of back and forth. If you're a tenant in one of their buildings, I highly recommend documenting the condition of the apartment when you move in (missing screens in windows, small chips or scrapes, etc.). Otherwise, they will make every effort to keep your security deposit.

We've been living here for nearly 6 months and love it so far. We're living in one of the 1 bedroom…read moreunit. What we particularly love: -Amazing doormen: They are genuinely nice and helpful. I thought it's only because it's closer to holiday times, but now it's the Spring the doormen are still so nice and helpful. -Great gym: I don't use the gym as often as I should but my husband uses it almost every day. The pictures don't lie. He particularly loves the swimming pool and the golf simulator. We haven't yet tried the bowling alley but that's an option too -Overall great apartment unit: Washer/Dryer in unit, great quality kitchen appliances, nothing has broken down yet and things work really well -Quiet: We're worried that being in Manhattan would be really noisy, but the location is quite removed from the hustle & bustle. It's amazingly quiet for Manhattan standards. Walls are thick and we never have noise problems. Not so nice: -It's quite a walk to the train. There's an underground shortcut to 66th street so that's nice. There's a shuttle in the morning that I take regularly, but I never can catch the PM shuttle! It's been so cold here that walking is a pain. Should be better in warmer weather. -Not that many food options within a 5-min walk. But plenty of options within a 15-minute walk (72nd st & Columbus circle). We found that we cooked way more as a result. -No direct access point to RIverside Park yet. I believe they're working on this.

Several of my friends and I have had bad experiences here. The leasing office is super nice and…read morehelpful until you sign your lease then they suddenly become unavailable/very unresponsive. The amenities are nice but you have to pay for each resident to use the gym facilities (no thanks I'd rather go to Equinox). The doormen are 50/50. Some are very helpful and nice but others give attitude even to your visiting guests. There are plenty of newer properties in the area- while the units themselves are nice, I would much rather live in a place with nicer management and "family"... especially when you call this your home. We're looking forward to our lease ending and some of our friends have already moved out (and are happier).
