As a visitor to Beacon, New York, O was happy to find this small flea/farmer's market off the main…read morestreet. Found New York Textile Lab's kiosk there. Bought a beautiful organic cotton, wool, and alpaca hoodie for travel to Japan in October! Also found cotton /wool blend socks for the same upcoming trip! Woo hoo! Scored! There was also a long line for ??? So we queued up to see why... By the time we got to the front of the line, the display cases were mostly empty of baked goods (it was a bakery kiosk!) but we shared one (1) chocolate pretzel croissant. Didn't look impressive, but looks can be deceiving! Wow! What a delicious, flavorful chocolate croissant, crispy on the outside and an explosion of chocolate in the moist interior! We should have bought more! Overall a great flea/farmers' market! Try it!

There are stacks of 33.3 rpm vinyl records; maybe you'll find something. It's ironic that most people got rid of them when it was almost impossible to find phonograph needles several decades ago. Remember Walk-man's MP-3's? Where are they now?! Stalls of clothing, semi-antiques, jewelry, old magazines and toys. There are some things that make you wonder; like old black and white, family photos in albums. Who were these people and how did they end up a flea market? There's no captions. Such as; uncle So & So at cousin X's wedding, or our first new car. It's a little sad.

Was visiting from California a couple of weeks ago where respect & decency seems to be a little more 2nd nature. My partner & I stepped in with drinks accidentally in hand; initially paying no mind to signage until I caught glimpse. Laughed it off and was on my way to set my drink outside to enjoy browsing the rest of the store when the shopkeeper made a slick rude remark about it being a "good job" that I could read?? A simple "can you set that outside please?" Does the job. I get y'all having policies but after careful review it seems like you're just comfortable being rude cuz it's your establishment. It's giving miserable 1st, 2nd it's at best a low vibrational tourist metaphysical trap that steals indigenous practices with no recognition. I always stop in and look for any collectibles-they have tons of clothes, that seem to be good…read morequality and condition and price- That's not what I'm after Lol! I've bought some treasures,to me anyway-the prices are erratic though,I think too many doing pricing and also pricing collectibles as per e-bays web site- They have tons of books and some toys and bedding etc.. They donate $ to local sports and graymoor- The ladies who volunteer are pleasant and work hard for the store-they're open Monday-Friday 10:00-3:00 And have sales on various items-every day and 50% off Occasionally-

I asked to open and count them right in front of her. She promised over and over again that they were all there. She said she remembered counting them herself. (My fault to not go with my instinct). When I get in the car, I opened it to see and it turns out, they aren't "91jumbo size color dominos", but old regular sized white and black dominos! Even if you didn't know the game, the tin box said very clear what was in it and even has a picture of what they are supposed to look like. I took them immediately back in before leaving the parking lot. I explained that this wasn't even what I purchased and didn't open it up because of her personal assurance. Nothing but a "sorry, but no returns". Even though I expressed that it wasn't a return because I didn't like it Or it was damaged. I'm returning it because she lied about counting it and never opened it to clearly see it wasn't the right set or she didn't know what she was looking at and just thought dominos. My advice, don't trust "oh I personally counted myself". Open it, inspect it, count it. Because they won't make good on a sale that they even guarantee. I know it's a thrift store and you take chances, but it's just bad business to say you did something and in actuality didn't do it properly or at all. I didn't need an apology on their mistake. I needed a correction on a bad sale.
