La Rue Marche is one of the few exceptions to the rule where I could wander around a store for hours. And in this case, I have over the years. Their clothes are adorable and inspire me to step outside of my fashion comfort zone, comfortably. They have many vintage pieces also have a collection of items that all flow very well together. In my mind I would like to copy and paste everything on hangers into my own closet. I'd be a very happy girl. But it doesn't stop there! They have really unique jewelry, accessories, home goods and novelty items too. I've bought a pendant, hair bows and a candle here to show the range of what's offered. They've recently remodeled which led me to believe that this was a new store with new ownership, but I was pleased to see that it was the same, just re-vamped and freshened up. If you ever find yourself in Hudson and want to get lost in a dreamy world of gorgeous clothes, accessories, shoes and things for your home, come here and wander until your heart's content.

They do have some vintage around the store and a ton of very fun and one of a kind jewelry items. You literally could spend a great deal of time in here as so much to take in. As I was opening the door, though, I happened to notice the "Closed" sign was still on. As I stepped in, I waved at someone in the back, hoping to ask if they were open yet. That guy pretended not to see me. Someone else back there said to him "I LOVE how they still come in, even when the sign says CLOSED." :O I turned right back out the door, and plan on never going back. If you are heading south through Stockholm, turn right at the big park on the river and--just before the train tracks, look down and to your left and you'll see it. The owner is friendly and helpful and the variety and condition of the records is outstanding. I found one of my favorite albums of all time (Music From Big Pink by The Band, original issue) for what I call The Nice Price. I also purchased albums by Lenny Cohen, the Scorpions, Sinatra, and a rarely seen disc by Alexander O'Neal (!). I will note, I saw Joy Division, Accept, Coltrane, Woody Guthrie, and much, much more. You'll pay for the exceptional find, but you'll pay a more than fair price and small store owners deserve to make a living--so support them! Albums are originals, not reissues and are almost uniformally in excellent condition. This store is moving to a bigger location in Maiden Rock, which will enable the owner to display even more albums!

There was a bin in the back that was lower cost but it was mostly sweaters and shirts that weren't my style and not what I need at the moment. Nothing to bring me back here honestly but there are certain types of people that would love this. Prices seemed steep but it's vintage and they can get away with it.

Plenty of parking in the shared lot or on the street. You'll need to be buzzed into the store as the door is locked. Once inside the shop is pretty small and jam packed with stuff....almost too much stuff. It was hard to look at items and the vibe felt a little meh. I still wanted to browse and find something to take home, I'm not sure if I missed the memo for sizing on tops but it was hard to know which section I should be looking in. There were some great finds in there, but also pretty expensive. Previous reviews mentioning prices seem to be several years old so keep in mind that you'll be spending a lot depending on what you're looking for. I will say- if vintage is your style and you're open to what you wear this would be a good stop. If you're a little more picky and looking to save some money this may not be the best option.
