Meet the Business Owner: Jill B.
My husband, Dennis and moved to the town of Troy between Hudson and River Falls to our 40 acre farm in 1991. Blueberry production became a realty after researching a variety of fruit options for a Pick Your Own on our bluff property overlooking the Mann Valley, near the in St. Croix River in northwestern Wisconsin, east of St. Paul. This tasty and very healthy fruit was our choice to establish the U-Pick! In addition to six different varieties of blueberries, we also grow sour cherries. In 2015 we expanded our farm to include Corriedale sheep, primarily for wool fiber production. We are happy to open our farm to hundreds of customers every year for blueberry picking! In addition, we open our charming and rustic cottage barn to visitors for our annual Holidays at Blue Ridge event, featuring the original work of over 25 other artisans. We sell our brand of preserves, Briar Run Preserves, using our organically grown fruit.
