I have been seeing these signs for years but never made it out to Blue Ridge Growers to actually pick blueberries. Since it is kind of a lazy Friday I decided that it would be a good time to go. It is about 6 miles out of River Falls off of Double M. Don't kid yourself picking blueberries is not as easy as you would think. The bushes are small and they like to hide behind the leaves and branches. I think it took us about 20 min to pick a pint which was $3. This place is pretty laid back, I had to hunt around for someone to explain things to me but once they did I was up and running. They have a lot of blueberries and also Raspberries but they were not ready to pick yet(Beginning of Aug)

We spent an unforgettable 10 days hiking the (express!) Inca trail to Machu Picchu and visiting Lima, The Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes and Cusco. I could write 10 pages about how much we loved traveling with Knowmad so I'll try to stick to the highlights. My husband and I usually handle all of our own travel planning, but when we came across Knowmad while researching how to visit Machu Picchu we realized we would probably get a lot more out of a trip to Peru traveling with specialists from the country. This was 1000% true and working with Knowmad made planning our trip so easy and fun. Our travel specialists Renee and Shannon found a way for us to do everything we wanted to do (and so much more!) while staying within our budget. They were remarkably thorough with answering my countless questions and we could not have been more prepared for our visit, with very minimal effort on our end. Once we met up with our Knowmad guide, Fernando, in Cusco every day of our trip was amazing and we learned so much about the Inca culture and the Andes while having a ton of fun and going at our own pace. By the time we made it to Machu Picchu it was so much more meaningful because we had an understanding of what makes it such a special and mystical site. The Inca trail was absolutely breathtaking (and I'm not talking about the altitude ) and we couldn't have done it without Fernando as our fearless guide. He looked out for us every step of the way and made us feel like family throughout our time with him. Our trip wouldn't have been nearly so memorable without him. Another highlight was our e-bike ride through the Sacred Valley with our awesome guide Kirvi, who was so kind and on top of making sure we were safe and even getting some awesome photos and videos along the way. Our driver Abraham made us feel so welcome and kept us moving along and safe throughout our trip. The restaurants and hotels Knowmad arranged for us were excellent, and our picnic in the Sacred Valley and Pachamanca experience were unbelievable. Thank you Knowmad for making our trip such an incredible experience we will never forget!

At the appointed time we loaded our trolley where we got our "ghost glasses" and our candles and away we went. We were entertained with stories of the old mansions and landmark around downtown Minneapolis. We got off the trolley at a couple of stops to see some of the haunted places and hear the stories. It was a chilly night but the trolley was warm and they also provided blankets to keep toasty. I will be going back for some of their other tours. If you are new to the area, want to do something different for a date night or just want to learn some fun history about Minneapolis, I recommend this tour. It was so fun!

Due to their negligence, on our 2d day in Athens the guide left the van unattended and all was stolen. The rest of the trip went down hill from there as a result of this negligence. Just one example: we had to stay overnight an extra night in Athens in order to go to the American Embassy. As soon as we got home we got an email from Hellenic saying we owed them for the extra night! They absolutely refused to take responsibility for their employee's negligence. WORST TRIP EVER! Our tour just walked us up and down a stretch of Main Street by Stone Arch Bridge. We stayed outside the whole time (no creepy basements like we'd been promised) and didn't even make it over to the Mill Ruins on the other side of the river. The ghost hunting equipment was extremely chintzy, but that didn't bother me as much as just the way the tour felt surfacey and low-effort. The stories told were interesting, but there weren't that many of them and they were not very detailed or in-depth. Some tours I've been on, including a ghost tour, included 2-3x as many stories and facts, and they were also a lot more detailed. Our guide was very nice, fun, and did tell some interesting morbid history about NE Minneapolis, and I don't intend this review to reflect on them so I am not using their name. I'm sure they were just doing what the company tells them to do; the problem is with the company's design of the tour. Overall this tour was not worth the time or money, at least not the experience we were given.

My husband and I always do a ghost tour of some sort in each town we are in. We have been on many…read moretours in different cities. The first thing that upset me about this was it was scheduled for 8pm. We arrived at 7:30 and they weren't even open. At 8pm they opened the door only to explain they had left me a message that the tour would be at 9pm instead of 8pm. I never received that message! So we find ourselves with an hour to kill until the tour starts. I don't think Mike and I ever really determined why it was haunted as there are only 2 true large areas to visit inside. We compared notes later and neither seemed to remember why. I have no doubt there is something there, being believers, but needed more history explained, and of course for them to have contacted me directly when the time changed.
