My wife and I went for dinner Friday 1/312025. Arrived at 6:30PM. Restaurant was very empty. Gabriel was an Excellent host. We asked for a glass of red wine and a Tito's martini up. Unfortunately, we received a glass of white wine and a vodka(?) martini that was not anything like I had requested. The bartender was very inexperienced and really had no idea how to do anything that wasn't written down on the menu. Let me start by saying the service was good. He was nice. He explained everything well and was attentive. The food was below mid. The chicken was dry and under seasoned which is crazy for this cuisine. The tortillas were raw and the beef was chewy and bland. The margarita special was $10 and it tasted pretty bad. I have been here twice and each time the service was so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I love having shrimp or fish options and dishes that aren't on the standard Mexican restaurant "combo" menus. Worst service, worst food, over price. Trying to claim its self as an upscale restaurant. We arrived on a Sunday Night at 6pm. 3 servers absolutely dead in the place. Our server seems to care more being lazy than serving. After he took our order brought our drinks and delivered our food he never came back at all in order for me to get a refill i actually had to go up and take my glass to him. Food was not even good enough for the price we paid. I got two tacos and french fries for $18.00 my tacos came with tiny bit of meat, crap load of onions. and cilantro. I asked to have tomato, cheese and sour cream which was another 2.50. Came with a tiny dab of sour cream and no cheese. The tacos were not even regular size but smaller. The fries were still raw not crisp at all. Partner had a taco salad, the shell was still raw, it had nothing but bell peppers. He took a side place and it was over filled by the time he removed all the peppers. When he ordered it there was no mention of bell peppers or he would have told them. Yet again our server never returned. Their website offers more food than their restaurant the whole menu was on a single page. Drinks on back. My partner has never in his life never not left a tip but he didn't leave one. This placed is super overpriced, the menu has very limited options. We ordered the guac for over 20 bucks, and it came with bagged chicharrones. For the price I expected pork skins. The tacos were decent but could definitely be better. Wont stop by again. read more

When we went 123 Main was only open for two weeks. The food is overpriced my daughter only had a side of rice and beans and it cost $14. I had the paella dish and it had a plastic ring in it maybe it's is from a spatula or something. The server took it to what looked like a manger and did nothing. Thursday evening 10/10/24; Not your typical Mexican restaurant, more upscale so keep that in mind. They charge 3% if you use a credit card. The steak quesadilla was $22 but you get a nice portion of steak. The rice and beans portions are comically small, served in condiment containers. The house hot salsa is good. We took a chance with this one. There were no Yelp reviews but the menu looked great. We came in early on a Friday and found the restaurant to be really lovely: a beautiful bar, well set tables with pretty blue glasses and lots of very special touches. We started with house margaritas and they are some of the best we've had. They make their mix and it isn't the neon green, face puckering mix you usually get. It made the tequila glow and they went down dangerously smooth. We had the Mahi Mahi chicharones as a starter. Perfect little tidbits of fresh Mahi fried in a light batter. Leftovers will make a great taco. My husband went traditional (which he never does) and got the mixed fajitas. He loves to sauce things up but found them so good he ate them as is. I ordered the choripollo and it was PERFECT. The chorizo is mild and savory and it topped a thin, juicy, perfectly cooked piece of chicken. Then it was drizzled with a creamy cheese, just enough to enhance the dish. The sides of beans and rice were not to be overlooked. They were both great compliments to the mains. The staff were gracious and friendly. This is a little more upscale than the usual Mexican fare around Pineville but the prices were very reasonable and the servings generous. (We'll be getting a couple lunches out of the leftovers.) They had a music duo playing on the patio where the music was really good and not instrusive. The atmosphere and vibe here are really inviting. Our congratulations to 123 Main Mexican on their opening and we really do look forward to adding them to the rotation. read more

We dined here for the first time and it's absolutely a vibe! The food was unique and delicious! Drinks were huge! It is on the pricier side, but definitely tastes fresher than the standard in and out Mexican restaurant. This is a place you want to dine in. I loved the music and the wall art! This restaurant is definitely and easily a criminal enterprise given how they are shaking people down!! 1. Very poor service--there were two tables occupied in the whole restaurant and a gentleman sitting at the bar. Both of the tables had a family/party of three. Our table consisted of four of us. With this as the back drop, service was extremely slow and lazy--drinks (lemonade) glass was empty and a special request had to be made to get more lemonade. Asked for queso and that took ten minutes to bring--it wasn't even enough for four people and didn't taste anything like queso which in some restaurants comes standard with chips or a nominal cost. This one came out in piping hot though which I supposed is what made it cost $9!!! 2. The food...ALL of it was bland and lacked taste or authenticity. The beans were hardly beans but rather bean soup, the tacos and fajita were extremely small and not fully cooked, the carne asada was the worst of all--Steak-umm for the win especially giving the price!! 3. Ambience was depressing and lifeless...it just felt off and was very off-putting and filled with questions of why the place was so empty. 4. Prices--OMG...I get the whole high end...trust me, I believe everyone else does too and have had a taste of it...but literally...taste was missing....but the price was definitely in full effect!! The fun part was when we got the checks....on our table of four, there were two pairs--so two checks each consisting of two people. Now, looking at almost $70 for a Mexican restaurant caught our attention and lead to us examining...and what we saw was a CC FEE at over 3% and SERVICE FEE at 20%. We kindly asked for explanation and the snarky waiter thought to go and bring the menu and present to us where it was 20% gratuity for 5 or more adults and $120 per tabs. Well, there were four of us and my tab, since I was one of the two couples picking up our tab for the pair was about $70...this snarky waiter seriously attempted to change the definition of TABS and said that TABS was TABLE so therefore the 20% was valid. Furthermore in this shakedown, it was made clear that we were paying with cash....so why was the CC FEE applicable?!! At any rate, we asked for both the CC and SERVICE FEES to be removed as a party of five was not present and the Table, I mean TABS were truly TABS and neither of the TABS was the TABLE. TIPS are earned based on how satisfied the patron/customer is with any one aspect or all aspects of their visit and experiences...not mandated and forced on simply because someone shows up in a group of 5 adults or more. The idea that a family (mom/dad and 3 kids) showing up can be surcharged 20% because they crossed some arbitrary dollar amount is scary!! In the end, it became super clear and obvious why the place was empty--many people, whether they speak on it or not or share their experiences, they are not returning customers to be had yet again! They can have their crinkly fries and bland foods/meats, onions packed dishes and undercooked tortillas and soupy dripping beans! read more

Food was good, pricey but knew that going in, service spotty ambiance good. Management needs to be more aware of its customers. The manager was more interested in hugging and greeting hang around's then people that were there for dinner. The entertainment was a guy with an laptop and a speaker who thought LOUD was enjoyable. It wasn't, and drowned out any and all conversation. Diners that were there rapidly finished their meals and left. No coffee , no dessert. I saw customers enter the restaurant, heard the noise and elected to go elsewhere. We were a table of five and were enjoying ourselves until the music started. The evening went down hill from there. Regarding the manager, when a small upscale restaurant gets a seating of five first time customers a stop by the table to say hello would seem to be in order. Didn't happen, didn't care. He did not visit any tables at all. The usual stable of hang arounds are not going to make this business thrive. Having to scream at each other over an expensive dinner is not an enjoyable night out. If more focus isn't put on building the business its not going to make it. If its still around in six month's I might give it another shot as the food was decent. read more

Very bad food and overpriced even if it were good . A $15 cheese quesadilla the waitress said came with rice and beans came with Krinkle fries no rice and beans . Fried shrimp looked like large shrimp but it was thick with batter we peeled off and came with what seemed to be a tomato mayo dip . Ambiance good. read more
