Additionally, my laptop began to occasionally freeze. For several months this problem would recur, and though I returned to PC Support they were unable to identify the issue. Months later, they reached out to me saying they had fixed a similar issue with another laptop. It turned out to be a problem with the GPU. Oh, Best Buy. So much potential but then it always ends up disappointing you…read more We were there to look for a part to help our computer, so we knew exactly what we needed but we just needed to know where it was. We were wandering around for a few minutes hoping we could just find it ourselves without any help because Best Buy is not great at that. Since we couldn't find any help, we were forced to find a sales associate. First of all, there were a number of associates on the ground. However: there were three associates helping one person, and the rest of them were wandering around " looking busy " but not helping others needing help. There were SO MANY people who were waiting for help or needed help. The sales associates were literally just speed walking around and doing nothing to help other customers. I ended up getting fed up and asserting myself to one of the sales associates who looked busy and said he was busy, but asked my question and he literally just pointed to where we needed to go. Since the sales associated only pointed to where we needed to go, we still took another few minutes looking for it. When we finally found what we were looking for, there was no selection and we ended up leaving.

KSK is really the best computer repair experience I've had in 35 years. Extremely easy to work with and super knowledgeable. I even got pick up and delivery. Magic! BestBuy and most others quoted me 3-4 weeks to replace a power supply at nearly the cost of a new machine. I called 10 places and got the Quebec run-around (arrogant, frustrating attitudes, maybe we can fix it maybe not!) - calls that inspired zero confidence. I got KSK on the phone and there was a can-do tone of expertise and when I argued with him ( I was wrong ), he was patient and heard me out. He also made some recommendations about upgrades that would boost performance - but didn't push or up sell - he was just being thorough. While I simply needed my PC fixed, power supply and memory replaced - Im pretty sure KSK could install and maintain an IT set up for a 1000 employee office and build a super computer. Just call this guy. You'll be happy.

Sadly the other components of my system would not fit well with the motherboards that could easily be acquired in a timely manner. I was looking at a repair that would take possibly weeks, this for a critically important computer. KSK instead replaced the bios chip on the motherboard. And it cost me a lot less than it would have cost to replace the motherboard! Good luck finding a tech who can and would do that at most other places. Not only that, but both times I have called him with a downed system, he has picked it up within hours, and delivered it fully functional either the same day or the next! Do expect to pay a couple hundred for the job, or more if it requires replacing hardware, etc., but he is definitely worth it, especially with pickup and delivery, and I expect likely not more expensive than most other places that won't give you anywhere near the same level of service.
