Their teas have strong flavors that do not get watered down with ice (which is such a huge pet peeve of mine when it comes to boba tea). My favorite is their milk teas, which have a strong tea flavor in addition to the creaminess from the milk. For my topping, I like to get the tapioca balls, which are sweetened with brown sugar and have the perfect soft, chewy texture throughout. They also have star-shaped jellies that are lychee flavored and taste amazing in fruity drinks! Although it's a plus that Gong Cha is located right inside G Mart, I make the drive to come here any time I'm craving boba. Whether you're craving hot tea on a cold day or want a refreshing drink in the summer, Gong Cha has the perfect drink for any occasion!

They have a kiosk (little sticky) where you can order your drinks without dealing with a cashier. A customer was taking a while ordering at the kiosk so a very friendly cashier took my first order. My daughter ordered a brown sugar milk tea. She said it was good. I decided to get a drink after the hibiscus green tea picture caught my eye and the kiosk became available. Next time, I will increase the sweet level in the hibiscus tea. I chose 30% and it was bitter. The pearl boba was tasty with my drink. I will definitely visit again.

My girl & I went here…read moreafter ordering Filipino food from the Pork & Spoon restaurant located in the same food hall to order Halo Halo (Literally "Mix, Mix"), the signature Filipino dessert beverage with flan, ube ice cream, milk & other ingredients. The Halo Halo here cost $10+, the most expensive Halo Halo we ever purchased. For a mediocre blend, it's quite a joke to set this kind of dessert at that price. We would happily pay $10+ more if this Halo Halo was made extra special with more loaded ingredients or a taller serving, but there's nothing special in Tea-Rex's version. The Halo Halo was served to our table in front of the Pork & Spoon concession instead of us having to pick it up from the concession, so we appreciate Tea-Rex's customer service. Burlington Food Hall seemed to have a nice casual dining space to enjoy food but its layout of the shops is questionable. We had to go to the back area of the building to find Tea-Rex and the few other spots while Pork & Spoon is very visible in the front area of the hall. We haven't tried any of Tea-Rex's milk teas & other desserts but from what we've seen in its concession, the milk teas look quite generic. Pork & Spoon referred us to them when we asked if they offered Halo Halo, which I thought was a good teamwork between the two shops in Burlington Food Hall. Sadly, neither shops gave us a good reason to revisit this new food hall. I will publish my review of Pork & Spoon soon. As for Tea-Rex NC, their Halo Halo was just disappointing. We rather get the $8+ Halo Halo in the Oriental Store in Raleigh, but that's another story. | Overall Score: 2.0/5

Great flavor, well balanced sweetness, and a lot of creative options. Everyone in our family loved their drinks. The poke bowls were very tasty as well and packed with flavor. Tons of choices and combinations, so it's easy to build something exactly how you like it. The only thing holding this back from a full 5 stars is portion balance. All four bowls we ordered were very heavy on rice, and a bit more protein would have gone a long way. That said, everything was fresh and flavorful. With slightly better protein portions and less rice, this would easily be a 5 star spot.

Housed in a bright, clean space next to the Palladium cinema, Haraz was busy when I stopped by. That is auspicious for a business still in its soft opening phase, and it gave me more time to browse the menu. While you can do basic coffee here, Haraz offers a variety of traditional drinks infused with cardamom and other spices as well as some interesting latte options. There was also an assortment of baked goods and a few savory items. Haraz was amply staffed, and I didn't have long to wait to place or receive my order. I went with an iced adeni (tea, Haraz spice, cream, and foam), a drink I've had elsewhere. Cool and creamy with hints of cardamom and cinnamon from the spice blend, it hit the spot. That said, at $7.50 for a 16-ounce drink, pricing seemed high. If you want a Middle Eastern-style coffee and don't feel like making the trek to Fig and Olive in Greensboro, Haraz has you covered. For day-to-day caffeine consumption, however, you might want to stick with your favorite local option.
