Came here on a recommendation from a friend. With our usual boba spot being Bethany's, we never really ventured out to other places. It's really hard to miss 1102 off Cooper St., it is located right next to the Spring Creek BBQ (to its left) in a small, but newer complex. Coming here I was a bit overwhelmed, lots of drinks to choose from but since my go-to is a matcha milk tea latte, I talked myself out of getting something else. While I didn't get a full explanation from the my cashier of the tea menu/process like another couple did (from the other cashier) it's basically simple: choose your drink, choose your size, choose your tea (Jasmine, Black, Oolong), choose your topping. Also you can sample each tea before you order, again, which wasn't explained to me when I ordered. I was a bit taken a back when she asked me what "tea" I wanted. I elected to get the matcha milk tea with jasmine tea, takes about 3-4 minutes or so to make, it was very good!! You can actually taste the jasmine tea base, and still taste the matcha! I will definitely come back and try the food and other drink items. Too bad I checked-in after I paid, could've saved myself 10%, but that's OK, I'll be back! read more

The place is super cute, definitely Instagram worthy. The matcha tea was delicious and very potent. My friend's tea was also delicious except the fruit loops at the top were a bit stale, which was unfortunate. The AC didn't seem to be working for the time we were there, which was also kind of upsetting because it was so hot out and we were looking for a place to cool off. I. AM. IN. LOVE. WITH. THIS. PLACE! The boyfriend and I came here after I almost killed myself in DDR at The Parks mall lol how Asian of me, right?! But this place has Boba in a light bulb! And seeing how I'm far away from CA I was so excited to see a place in TX that did this! We started with Coffee and Matcha Yogurt jars which were good! The Coffee one was a lot thicker and richer than the Matcha one but they were both really good and not overly sweet. I had the Tiramisu Milktea with a Black Tea base + Flan (first time having Flan in my drink!) and it was SO good. She let me try the Black Tea and Oolong Tea bases and they both were really good but I felt the Black Tea would go better with the Tiramisu. My boyfriend had the Blue Ocean Italian Soda + Mochi toppings. It was weird seeing Mochi sink down the jar but it tasted so good with the Italian Soda! The inside of this little shop was so cute! I loved the vibe and the look they were going for with the pretty Cherry Blossom by the window and the cute purple flowers lining the bar seats against the window. This was my first visit. I got Jasmine peach tea with 50% sweetness and I added strawberry popping boba. The drink was good though I do wish it were a little less sweet. I did notice that the milk teas have more options for sweetness. I enjoyed my drink, but it didn't come in the traditional cup. I was a little disappointed because I like the traditional cup. I got a large and the popping boba was .50 extra. Next time I will ask for less ice because I had pretty much finished the drink by the time I made it to my car. *Triggered* This place is automatically pretty close to my heart because of the "1102" (also happens to be quite significant to me in some way or another and I'm going to vaguely leave that here) so ofc I had to check out this joint. Lo and behold, the decor is absolutely adorable and the ambiance is just so whimsical that it makes you forget you're in Arlington anymore. Forget the other boba places, you've got to check this one out A$AP. They have some unique drink options including some pretty STRONG tea. Like, this is the real deal, folks. None of that weak stuff. If you've ever tried Cali boba or from overseas, then this place will definitely hold a candle to those. Great alternative if you don't want to drive to KFT, also. Gladly stating that they don't play games with powders and proving that really makes me one happy Azn_gurl (pH 14). My personal faves are the green tea base + lavender or green tea base + rose. Also, my bf and I lovelovelove their green thai tea, as well. Pretty interesting and subdued flavor that we wish we could get a gallon of. Can't go wrong adding some coffee flan jelly too if you crave that sweetness. That stuff is yummy and really melts in your mouth. Food-wise, their portions are quite small. Like, it's insane how tiny the options are, but the quality of the food items are worth a try! My favorite has to be the mayo spring rolls. I used to be a regular here, me & my friends would always buy a drink & sit down/chat a bit. I love the drinks, their tea is amazing. However, our last visit we were shocked to be charged $16 (FOR JUST THE DRINKS). Adding in the tip, I paid $18 for 2 drinks. That is insane. I believe it has a lot of potential and I think we're super lucky to have this place open up in Arlington. Whenever they open for real, they will also have a rewards program going on! LOCATION: This is not a location that you will see while driving down Cooper. You will have to enter a small retail area that is to the left of Spring Creek BBQ. 1102 Bubble Tea will be tucked in that retail area. It may be easy to miss so just pay close attention! This is also in the same area as House Bar and Grill. SERVICE: First of all, I love the service so far. Everyone is very nice and friendly. They answered any questions I had and were quick to explain how things worked. They didn't hesitate to explain anything which got rid of any awkward vibes you usually get when reading the menu in front of workers. DRINKS: Speaking for the teas only, there's a process on how to choose your drinks. 1) There are 3 "bases" that you choose from: black tea, oolong tea, or green tea. 2) Then you can choose a flavor to add to the tea. There are so many flavors (probably more than 10 to choose from) ranging from mango, matcha, and lavender. 3) You can add "toppings" which include your basic additions like bubble tea, jelly, etc for $0.50 more. I ended up getting the 1102 signature lightbulb milk green tea which came in a LIGHTBULB GLASS. Now you can aesthetically present your drinks ;) You have to drink this in the cafe only! I forgot what exactly was in the "1102 special" but I believe it has whip cream and milk in it. The drink was very frothy and refreshing. I enjoyed it a lot and would definitely come back a second time to try it again. Hopefully next time I figure out exactly what makes it special. My friend ordered a mango black tea and it was great! He finished it in less than 5 minutes. The mango flavor wasn't overpowering and it nestled nicely with the tea. I am such a huge fan of teas that make you feel refreshed and not like you're drinking syrup only. I was trying to see if I could compare this to Bethany's or Kung Fu Tea, but I believe 1102 can't be compared to either. It's special just the way it is. If I had a choice on where to get my tea drinks though, I would not hesitate to choose 1102 in a heart beat. FOOD: They will be serving some Vietnamese foods and desserts. We were in the mood for a bubble tea so after some searching we decided to try 1102. The location is in a non descript suburban strip mall in South Arlington by the mall and is easy to miss. We went inside which was pleasently decorated and looked at the menu. There was a.weird smell in the place but we decided to give.it the benefit of the doubt and try it. There were plenty of choices of different drinks and bobas. I initially wanted a taro smoothie but when I ordered I was informed they had been out of taro since.the morning. Instead the suggested the taro milk tea which I added mini mochi to. After ordering they gave us a buzzer and we went to what turned out to be one of the regular tables, all which were wobbly. When the drinks were ready we tried them and my taro milk tea was good and I really liked the mini mochi. My spouses hojicha was much milder tasting. Overall it was an ok visit. If we come back in the future I'd hope they would have taken care of the weird smell, which other people have mentioned, and fixed the tables. The read more

The drinks are overly sweet and incredibly pricey. I ordered my drink at 75% sweet but it was still way too sweet. A small drink (which by the way wasn't even filled to the top), with no additional toppings comes out to be $7 something with tax. Such a shame because it's such a cute place and has a great menu. Based on my first visit, I'd say 1102 is pretty good! The faux grass back drop and wooden aesthetics hella remind me of SoCal. I ordered a large oolong milk tea with boba ($5.25). And my friend ordered a small matcha milk tea with boba ($4.25). + Free wifi + Boba had a good consistency + Lots of parking - Not a lot of table space / seating areas Next time I'll have to try the pot of hot milk tea, cus the experience looks fun and trendy. Something I was confused about: there was a shelf on the left side near the counter which I'd guess is for the tables with floor seating. Since it's December and the Christmas tree is in the corner, they moved it to the opposite corner and the shoe storage shelf is out of place, but I doubt people would really take their shoes off at a boba place anyway. read more

(The girl in front of me was probably 5 years younger than me) so there was no way that would even be logical and laughed with her while I stood there in line. Had quite the adventure with my girls here in this totally adorable bubble tea cafe. A little hidden in a small strip mall, store front does not face the main road. Love the floor style tables and the decor. Really felt different and fun atmosphere. Gotta get the 'watt' or the large lightbulb (gotta get the organic milk tea people). Great advice as to how to order when I was there because i really had no clue. Try the Thai Tea (red) with aloe vera jelly. Amazing. My 8 yo got a smoothie and a small cup of macarons. Lost 1 star because the macaron was a little on the chewy side (which is expected when it's not super fresh outta the oven type of thing). This place is just cutest boba place ever! As soon I walked in, I said wow. The decor is beautiful and really makes this place different from other places. The greenery, flowers, wood tables and chairs really makes this place unique. I especially loved the tables where you can sit on pillows. That was definitely something different that stood out. This place is clean, great for socializing and hanging out. They even have games. I wouldn't necessary recommend this place for studying just because space is limited and it's pretty small unless you bring noise cancellation headphones. The reason I wanted to come here was for the lightbulb container for tea. I highly recommend getting the red or green milk tea. Both of these were delicious. I also had aloe vera in one of my teas and popping bubbles in another. These were great add ons, but of course there's so many options for just a little bit more. Made us wait 50 minutes just to get our order wrong Tldr; Ordered 9 drinks, waited in store for nearly an hour while they fulfilled many other orders that came after us, and in the end got our drinks wrong. Horrible customer service and paid for toppings that we never got. We came here at 9:22PM and ordered 9 drinks. When we ordered, there was only two people in front of us who made an order, and giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe even 1 or two more people who probably ordered prior to us. The place was not busy whatsoever in terms of people ordering. After we ordered there were a group of about maybe six teenagers who ordered right after us. After about 20 minutes of waiting we noticed that the group teenagers who sat next to us received all six of their drinks before us and left the place. We waited maybe five minuted after this and took it up with the cashier for the first time. She told us how understaffed they were (only 2 workers) and told us it will be ready in a bit. We waited another 10 minutes, saw another couple drinks being delivered to people who ordered after all of us and decided to take it up with them again, asking them when our drinks would be ready, acknowledging that they were understaffed. (I just wanted to know how much longer I was gonna wait at this point) They told us again they were sorry and that they were understaffed, and said that our drinks would be ready "in a little bit". Frustrated, I sat back down as it has been almost 40 minutes since we had ordered our drinks. After around 50 minutes we took it up with them again asking why we haven't gotten our drinks when many other orders have been fulfilled (maybe 14+ drinks handed out before ours at this point). They told us the teenagers from earlier ordered before we did (which is a complete lie and I'm sure the cashier knew that too). We told her that they didn't and she apologized and told us that they would be working on our order shortly. We finally got our drinks after nearly an hour, and when we got home to check on our drinks, nearly all the orders were either incomplete or completely wrong. Three drinks had 0% sweetness. One drink that I had ordered myself had no taro pudding (which they charged me $0.99 for) and they didn't even bother to put labels on the drinks, leaving us to figure out which drink was what. We understand that it's hard being understaffed but it doesn't take one hour to make 9 drinks (I've seen boba shops with 2 workers fulfill orders faster than this) and on top of that completely messed up our order and never answered why other people received their drinks before us. Staff is probably just really tired but please train them better!!! Everything aside, drinks aren't too bad, but definitely overpriced. $6-$8 per drink read more

First off, the small and intimate boutique is decorated to make you feel as if you're hanging out on the rooftop garden of a sheek lofty lounge in a big city downtown. The furniture, decor, arrangement is intentionally thematic and creates a relaxing yet hip environment. Have a seat on the slightly elevated floor like the Japanese and pull out some complimentary board games to play win your buddies while you sip on delicious smooth milk teas. Secondly, speaking of the tea, this place offers only the most refined and delicate flavors of milk tea in town. Every single thing I've tried are absolutely delightful but my favorites are the green Thai tea and the oolong milk tea. But there are so many interesting and unique flavors that you would be doing yourself a disservice by sticking to only one or two. Additionally, the add-on ingredients are distinct and compliment each drink with such purpose and harmony depending on how you customize it. I typically add flan, coffee flan, and/or egg pudding to everything that's not fruity and it enhances the drink significantly. This place is also charmingly unique by offering different and fun containers for your beverages. You can get it in a light bulb glass, a double flavor separated cup, and a two flavored mini gas pump station. Totally Instagram worthy! But wait, there's more! They have a small menu of food, which includes a variety of snacky Vietnamese street food such as the rice paper salad. It is apparently a new trend in the Vietnam street food scene that is now popping up in places like these in the U.S. These items are small but fun and different so check them out! It was ok. I loved the aesthetics and it's a cute Instagrammable place. I got the Vietnamese Coffee and it wasn't good. It tasted a little burnt, but that's just my tastebuds. What really knocked down the stars was the service. My friend is allergic to seafood and she asked the person working there for the ingredients and he listed them forgetting about listing shrimp. When she ate it, she tasted it and explained to him the situation of how she's allergic and asked if possible could she either exchange it for something else that doesn't have seafood or could she get a refund. He had to ask the manager and they said that it's not their fault so a refund was not valid. Also, their entire menu has seafood in it so nothing could be exchanged. I've been here a few times with some friends and while I haven't found my go-to drink for this place, my most recent visit here is definitely the reason why I'm leaving this review. I had ordered a lychee jasmine tea that I did not like at all. Most drink places including one I used to work at would exchange drinks for customers if they were not 100% satisfied without any hesitation. However, 1102 has an absurd policy that did not allow that. I told the cashier I would pay the difference if the exchanged drink costed more and still nothing. They told me I had to buy an entire new drink. Then I decided to ask for a refund because if I'm not going to drink something, I should be able to exchange or get a refund. NOPE! Can't do that either. All sales are final. Ridiculous. So not being able to get my drink replaced and not get refunded, that drink was wasted and an entire waste of my money. I ended up tossing it and wasting my money on something I didn't even drink. For anyone wanting to try this place, be aware of this policy and go somewhere else worth your while. The atmosphere here is cute and clean. The presentation on their drinks here nice as well, however, their drinks aren't that great. We had ordered a couple of drinks just because the first time we came here the drinks weren't really good, so we decided just order a couple to see if we like any other ones.. sadly I wish it tasted better. Everything tastes too sugary or too bland I don't taste the flavor in it at all. The service here is really slow, and we came on a weekday. First time at this place and definitely was up to making this place a regular if the drinks were good and they had excellent customer service! Initial impression was good - I ordered the Tiger Milk Tea and a box of macaroons. First - they got my drink customizations wrong, which they quickly remedied. The drink was okay - lacking a good intense flavor - overly sweet, but I could have asked for less sweet if I had known it was really sweet. My main complaint is the macaroons. They were pretty terrible. They were stale and tasted like they had been a long time in the fridge and had absorbed some other stale flavors. I took one bite, and was met with a stale cookie and bad aftertaste. I approached the front register and told them the problem and asked if they could be returned for store credit or something else - and was denied very harshly and abruptly - with no apology. I would have loved some type of other way offered to enjoy this place. A waste of $10. Definitely believe customer service should be primary and some solution be made if there is a problem - a different way to enjoy what they have to offer. Oh. My. Goodness. One of the cutest teahouses I have ever been to. I love, love the decor inside- so cozy and PERFECT DATE SPOT. They have various bottles that you can put your drinks in- lightbulb ones, glass bulbs, and even a split cup where you can choose two drinks in one cup!! I ordered off the organic milk tea menu and got an oolong milk tea as well as the hojicha milk tea. Oolong is my favorite type of tea, but I was a little disappointed that this milk tea didn't have a very strong oolong flavor to it. The hojicha milk tea was also pretty light in the tea flavor. Overall, both drinks were too sweet for my liking (I don't think you're able to adjust the sugar levels), but pretty tasty nonetheless! They also have A LOT of toppings to choose from and they even have taro pudding and flan!! Not many teahouses have toppings like that, so it was great that they offer so many different ones. If only I lived in Arlington so I could try more of their drinks... I've been eyeing the rose milk tea and lavender milk tea. The service is great and despite being packed at some times, I get my drink in a timely manner. I tried the spicy chicken, which was a new addition to the snack menu, and it was a hit! It's something I've never tried before but I'd be willing to come back to eat this again. The dish itself is like a thick soupy dip-like consistency filled with pieces of chicken, corn, topped with green onions and LOTS of cheese. 1102 Bubble Tea is definitely one of your standout boba places in the area! I give an 1102/1102 for the decor at this place. The place is BEAUTIFUL. There's plenty of tables and my favorite thing about this place are the large Japanese-style tables. Whether you're sitting in seiza position or criss-cross-apple-sauce, this tables are great for groups and definitely brings a uniqueness to the place. The tea here was pretty good, but the tea was way too sweet and was told I couldn't alter the sweetness on any of the drinks. I will say the Tiramisu Milk Tea with boba was yummy, but I would've definitely liked it more without the extra extra sugar in it. The WiFi here is fast and is a great place to study. My only complaint was the music, which may seem trivial. The workers were playing really explicit music EXTRA loud on the speakers in the cafe. I'm talking Lil Jon/Lizzard Lounge explicit with as much profanity and racial slurs as possible. Call me old fashioned, but there were a bunch of kids and families there and I felt it wasn't appropriate. Please play more appropriate music 1102. It's a boba cafe, not an EDM concert or a mosh pit. We found this place while looking on yelp for a boba place nearby. It is such a cute little shop! I had the coconut milk tea (black) and it was delicious! My husband had the avocado smoothie and it was really good as well! The staff was friendly, and decorations were adorable! We will definitely be back when we are in the area! read more

I used to love this place when they first opened, but a few years ago I stopped coming because it didn't taste good anymore, and their prices became outrageous. I came back today to try it again, I come in and no one comes out to take the order and not even to greet you. They now have a machine for you to do it yourself while the employees just sit in the back. This place is just the cutest! I always come here when I have a little time on my hands. It's the perfect place to meet with friends or a date. The atmosphere and ambiance of this place is so cool. It's very aesthetic looking and photo friendly. I myself am a huge fan of the fake green turf on one of the walls. It makes for a great picture and really adds to the feeling of the place. The two booths are absolutely adorable! They have small little benches that are so low to the ground it feels like you're almost sitting on the floor, which I actually love. They have little pillows out for decoration as well. The staff here are always so friendly and patient! They have regular tables available for seating as well. 1102 Bubble Tea has a wide selection of card and board games for guests to use which I've used during multiple dates. I can never miss out on an opportunity to play Uno! This place has a really wide selection of drinks. From teas to sodas, they always have something that fits my mood. They also have a small selection of snacks and sweets available but I've never really tried those since the drinks usually fill me up. Their Italian soda is just the best, I get it almost every time I go. Although I love all of their flavors, the Sunset one is my favorite, it looks the prettiest and it tastes the best to me. It's a really fun drink to order. They provide a straw for you to stir the cream in with the soda itself and you get to watch a transformation take place in your glass! Another one of my favorite things here are their plain fruit teas. There isn't one flavor I don't like so I'll just go ahead and recommend them all! You get to choose how sweet they make it which is an added plus for me. This was a super cute and cozy cafe! The decorations were awesome and Japanese inspired -- cherry blossom tree and tables. I ordered the taro black milk tea.. I suggest getting less sugar as it was quite sweet. The cashier was friendly and offered us some samples and suggestions on what to order. I recommend checking this place out! read more
