We ate here on a recent trip to Gananoque and were blown away. The food was truly some of the best Indian we've had on the North American continent. It was incredible. I cannot remember what the appetizer was, some sort of saucy potato samosa dish, but it was the kind of dish you dream about for months afterwards. Delicious spicy chicken kebabs that lived up to their name but weren't uncomfortably spicy. The korma was creamy and decadent and we were using the fantastic naan to scoop up every last bite of the sauce. We had the Ras Malai for dessert, a sweet saffron milk soaked cottage cheese cake, and it was divine. Everything was bursting with flavor. And the SERVICE. Esther, our waitress, was truly remarkable. We were having a tough day and I don't know if she could tell or if she is always lovely, but she went above and beyond for us. She was so welcoming and attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She was just wonderful. We will absolutely be back here on future trips to Gan/Kingston. read more

their food nourishes you as it dances on your tongue! although they are renovating the restaurant, I've had a great experience with them every time. The open doors are an invitation that is almost impossible to refuse. when I smell the tempting blend of spices floating on the breeze I abandon whatever dinner plan I had, and order here instead. each time I go I try to get a bit extra so that I can bring it to work as leftovers-my immune system has never been better. coincidence or not, I will keep coming back! I really enjoy the bhuna, and my friend can eat all the butter chicken in one go- even when trying to keep some as leftovers, it's so tasty that it's gone before they know it- what higher praise is there? I had this a few years ago now but i can still remember how remarkable it was. I had the Korma with shrimp, and a samosa (cant remember if it was veggie or meat) and it was the most delicious Indian cuisine I have every tasted. I would 1000% go back, and if i had the means i would be a daily customer. 5 stars well earned, would recommend always. read more

This restaurant exceeded all our expectations! The chicken and lamb was halal, which was very accommodating for us and our server was also very kind. The food was very well made and the meat was very tender and delicious. The naans were freshly made and soft and buttery. Walk-in off the tour boat for sure, but order 10 dishes for a crowd at the cottage and you will be even more impressed. Helpful and enthusiastic owners. Excellent quality and quantity of Indian you would expect from a high end city establishment. So glad I found this diamond in Gan during our last trip. read more

Delicious! Lovely owner and great service. A little different: you choose from a selection of curry sauces, then the filling (veg, paneer, chicken, etc.), allowing a huge variety of combinations. Everything we tried was excellent. Vegetarian friendly. read more
