They had cut out the propanel to go around the vents in the roof twice as big as needed, so there were areas where there was no metal for a 18" square area. They covered the shingles with tar. When we complained that we didn't want tar on our roof. We wanted the job to be professional looking, Mr. Bennick stated he would redo it. The next day he had someone on the roof using gasoline to try to clean off some of the tar, and he still continued to do the remaining vents in a manner that they were not sealed and the roof was going to leak. When questioned about it, he yelled at me and then he started cussing. I fired him from the job and got someone else to finish it. The new people that did the roof were appalled at what kind of job a "professional" roofer would have done. Nothing was sealed, it was going to leak, and it looked horrible. When Bennick's was doing the job, they needed to move the swamp cooler. They cut the wires to the swamp cooler and left them that way. When questioned about it, they lied and said they did not cut the wires. When we got a master electrician here to fix it, the electrician said it was obvious they had cut the wires -- all of this with the electricity on. This could have been a fire risk.

At the time, Soren was attentive and recommended a few options for the project. I also inquired about yearly inspection and maintenance as a preventative measure for future issues. He indicated I should recieve quotes for the different options from them VIA email shortly, and then I never heard back. I tried contacting and left messages with them several times over the next few weeks through phone calls and email with absolutely no response. Even responding back to me indicating they didn't want to do the work would have been acceptible. In the end they wasted my time during the initial inspection, and subsequient inquiries trying to get quotes. I can't imagine this company being reliable for regular maintenance given thier poor handling of this situation. I was able to go with another company who provided prompt responses and service. I would suggest looking to options other than A1 for your roofing needs.

The new roof leaked in multiple places and caused damage to the interior of my home. Durango Roofing first did additional work charging additional monies then went silent. The leaking continued and my messages went unanswered. Another roofer had to be called in and the entire roof installed by Durango Roofing removed and installed properly. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AND FIND A RESPECTABLE HONEST CO!!! If you have trouble believing this review and others like it I would suggest you dig deep (check legal actions against them etc.). There are a few good reviews of them online so maybe they do a good job sometimes or maybe they put those up there themselves?? Do you want a company that only does decent work some of the time?
