beware of this company. i am an attorney and sarasota native. their charges are outrageous. they…read moreprovided services to us for approximately five and one-half days and billed us over $29,000. they use kids and inexperienced workers and provide sub par services. they ripped out an entire built in cabinet (costing over $20,000) unneccesarily rather than just taking out the portion that was wet and that needed to be taken out. they also ripped out an entire wall of tile in one of our bathrooms unnecessarily rather than just taking out 4 feet of tile and drywall. they also didn't put in dehumidifiers and dryers after we were flooded and made up reasons for why this wasn't necessary even though the real reason was because they did not have them available for our residence. and while their contract says that they will be paid from insurance proceeds, if you don't pay, they aggressively pursue collection. as we did, I recommend finding another company that not only charges by time and materials but that is knowledgeable and competent.

After checking prices and what they did we chose Teasdale Fenton Sarasota for the job. We selected a date for them to come out. I made sure the rooms were vacuumed and had anything that could be removed was moved (like a chair or a chest in rooms) so they could get as much as possible. Walt came out. He has been working in this business and owned the business before. He did a very thorough job in the rooms and cleaned up behind him where the hose from the truck came in the house. We had some traffic area stains from the previous owner. He said it was not bad and it came out with the normal cleaning. The carpet looks great. They do charge $5 for virus cleaning-where they do a special cleaning through their system so things from one house are not transmitted to another. I'm pretty sure the soap and water would remove it but happy they take the care to be safe. I recommend Teasdale Fenton Sarasota to do carpets. They do tile and grout and many other items, too, so check them out. I would definitely call them again to do any other jobs we had. Pictures of carpet to come when it dries completely.

Two very nice young men with ServPro came out late night and worked until early morning using equipment to suck up water from rugs and floors. They had to move some heavy pieces of furniture around, too. My closet was not emptied out and dried until the next morning when the larger crew came. Floors were torn up and walls were cut to get the wet drywall out for about half of my home. Somehow my bedroom door frame was damaged and will not close all the way during that process. My vacuum found several baseboard nails and debris under my adjustable bed frame. I had them come out for a bid to repair everything almost two weeks ago and I have not received a quote back yet. It might have something to do with my questions after-the-fact, like about the cabinets that had water run underneath them and why they were not removed during their process. When I asked about it, the estimator for repairs said it was so I was not left without a functioning bathroom. Now I am left wondering if mold is growing underneath and having to deal with the demolition myself to check. I suggest emailing instead of phone messages. Accounting department was great; the owners accepted full payment making an exception for credit card fees (they want their money right away, which is understandable since they have employees to pay for work done). I cannot really agree with their slogan "like it never happened," as I have been living in chaos in my home since December 19, 2023.

The company needed to hire out to different companies to complete the task. All the men were courteous, some more than others. Most of them were not much for talk, but they worked well. some small items were broken, but it was minimal. The bad thing is nobody told me about it. I discovered it for myself. The job was completed in a month. It seemed to me like a long wait. No one asked if anything should not be thrown out before tossing it, nor helped me move the furniture back in place. But they were all men working for a woman, and I guess that is just the way of the "manosphere" that says they know better than you, especially if you are female. That is not likely to change soon so I'll sort of live with it. For being all male, they did very well.
