I took this class because I had a reckless driving ticket for falling asleep at the wheel, resulting in property damage (I crashed into a parked car - myself, nor was anyone else injured). Reckless Driving (General) in VA carries a hefty fine ($2500 I believe) and possible jail time for the maximum punishment. Taking this course is the first thing any lawyer will tell you to do, especially for a reckless driving ticket. I definitely recommend it! Although I am familiar with the rules of the road, its a great refresher course and provides insight on some of the newer laws that people often don't get informed about until a ticket is issued and best practices when it comes to preparing for court, more importantly. Jerome was my instructor and he's awesome!! He's been doing this for several years and can provide answers to many of the general questions about the VA court system and how VA as a state is structured with regard to the ticketing system. COURT: Most of us are not taking this class just for fun (although it was entertaining at times); its because we have court in the near future (if the class wasn't already assigned to you by the court). My preparation consisted of the 1 stop driving school course & lawyer (Dunningan Law in Chesapeake, VA - great service!). A lawyer is not totally necessary (Jerome, even told me I most likely did not need one), but I wanted to be 10,000% prepared because WHO has time for jail and a $2500 fine?! The first thing the judge asked me was "what did you learn in driving school?" and then my lawyer motioned to have the charges dropped and then that was it! Out in less than 10 mins. COPS: If you're reading this you've probably already dealt with the cops, BUT for future reference, it goes a VERY long way to cooperate with the cops when you're pulled over. They do have hearts! The cop who gave me my ticket was generous enough to mention how cooperative I was the night of my accident to my lawyer which was then taken into consideration for the charge to be TOTALLY DISMISSED! read more

They can't even handle telephone etiquette. The lady who answered the phone was impatient and condescending. When you are trying to learn differences in driving requirements it's important to have people who can articulate and not handle clients with attitude. I was seeking classroom and behind the wheel for my son. All the lady talked about was a permit test. I was asking about education prior to taking that test but she just hung up because she couldn't be bothered to answer my questions just talk about testing for which the client needs education for first. Honestly best teacher, she was relatable sweet and funny as hell! I took this class cuz I never sit and read the rules I don't have the attention and she made sure she had mine. The class started off quiet only filled with her energy but by the end everyone was talking and left the class more knowledgeable then when the showed up! 10/10 can't wait to go back and take my driving test with them! read more

This is an amazing school. I went through the school and got my learners and they taught me everything I needed to pass. This was the absolute best driving improvement class i've been to. The instructor Jerome Simon, made class enjoyable and actually gave valuable information. He didnt just sit the class down and make us watch videos all day, he kept the class motivated and eager to learn. You wouldn't think a driving improvement class would be so lively but with his teaching and the realness he teaches makes class go by very fast. You dont even feel like you're in class for 8 hours. This class was amazing. The instructor Mr. Jerome Simon made everyone feel comfortable right from the very beginning. He took his time to make sure we all understand every area of the course and explained every question we had. Never once making anyone feel inadequate for not knowing the answer. I would NOT recommend this driver school to anyone!!! Their customer service is horrible. I signed up online to attend a class in Norfolk Virginia. The instructor never arrived, leaving myself and a class of students at a loss for words. When we called the main office the representative tells us that we all must have had the wrong date. After not being able to convince us of that. She finally tells us that the instructor had an emergency and had to go to South Carolina and we would need to reschedule for another class. The company's representative LIED to us and then after finally telling the truth, tells us to sign up for another class. When I called the main office back I was told by an extremely rude female representative that I can either sign up for another class or find another driving school. Obviously I chose the latter!!!! I encourage you to do the same. Btw: when I tried to express my dissatisfaction I was hung up on. Then, Jerome Simon, one of the companies instructors, called me back only to defend the actions of the rude representative. Again I would NOT recommend this driving school to my worst enemy.
