I called Joyners Driving School on Friday and spoke with one of the instructors about driving classes over the next few weeks before school starts. The conversation was very caring and professional. Joyners Driving School follows ALL Va laws when it comes to licensing. I am highly impressed that this company requires a parent/student interview before taking on a new student. My daughters instructor, who's name I hope I spell correctly, is Queeny. She met with us yesterday morning. The nice thing about this is my daughter knows who will be picking her up and so do I. The other great thing is they have other instructors so during the interview process they can choose the best fit for the student as necessary. This driving school was able to accommodate our needs and my daughter starts driving school tomorrow. My daughter and I are super excited about this new adventure. My daughters instructor, Queeny even let me take a picture of the two of them together to post on fb to share. I feel confident her instructor can teach her something she needs to know. Words seem to be unable to express how much I thank Mrs. Joyner. My wife moved from San Francisco to the city. Undoubtedly the first task she needs to complete her driver's license exam. But she didn't have any driving experience before, even she didn't have the courage to drive when she got the permit. So we found this driving school on Yelp. Joyner Queenie always answers any questions carefully and cultivates my wife's driving confidence during the course. After the first day of the course, I took my wife to practice the turn in the community, and I obviously felt her progress. My wife said that Mrs. Joyner always encourages her. Because my wife's first language is not English, sometimes she can't understand it when she is nervous. But Mrs. Joyner is still very patient. The Joyner driving improvement class I atteneded today was the best and most informative class to bring you up to date with all the new Virginia State Laws. I reccomend this course for everyone to take . By electing to take this course you will receive 5 safe driving points to be applied to your driving record. Showing it to your insurance company will and should reduce your rates up to 15% savings. Many other insightful tips from passionate Instructor Wendell Joyner was shared that will save lives, possiblly you and your loved ones. Voluntarily attended the drivers improvement class for a reckless speeding ticket. Didn't know what to expect just assumed it would be a dull long drawn 8 hr class about the Do's and Dont's behind the wheel. Turned out to be a fun interactive course of knowledge and sharing experiences. Mr Joyner had each student to share their reason for being in the class which made the classroom atmosphere a little more comfortable and at ease. As a class we were able to discuss our violation issues and come with solutions or suggestions on how to resolve our problems. I have always been fearful of driving, especially turning right onto a intersection. I took lessons at Joyner's Driving School with Mr. Steve Couther. He was very patient with me and gave me time to learn and improve on my mistakes. He is an amazing teacher and helped overcome my fear of driving and made sure I was comfortable enough on turning right at a intersection. He gave me enough practice with the mock tests that I knew what I would be tested for during the driving test. I am grateful that I found Joyner's Driving School and Mr. Couther helped me learn. Absolutely amazing! Mr. Joyner personally saw to it that my experience was the best. I am in the Military and don't have very much free time. He worked around my schedule to get my class taken care of. He took the time to make sure everything went smoothly and even dropped off my certificate because I was stuck on duty. I can't say enough good things about his buisness. The class was very informative, and I learned a few things I didn't already know. Thank you to Joyner's Driving school! Mr. Couther spent time talking to me and my husband to really understand my sons strengths and weaknesses in his driving. He then assessed and focused on these areas, giving my son feedback. My son's confidence grew, and when he got his license at the end, he felt confident. Look. Driving school materials sucks. It's boring. Nobody enjoys it. But this man has done something magical to the course, I'm not quite sure how he did it but it truly is enjoyable and you would be incredibly, sorely, woefully mistaken if you ever considered going anywhere but here for your driving school needs. If you need the hookups, he's got the hookups. If you want pizza or donuts, he's got pizza and donuts. It's fun, there are breaks, and it's chill. My daughter took the online and behind the wheel sessions. I was able to get her in the behind the wheel within days of the call. She completed and now is driving! Great school. A lot of insider tips when it comes to handling different court or police encounters. The instructor is very hands on and talks with each student about their situation and what to do. If you have a court order, DMV notice or just want safety driver points for your insurance, this course is highly recommended. read more
