4.75 Stars I am very happy with my new kitchen! Carlos and Valentino (the fabulous twosome that completed my kitchen) made the experience of renovating as pain free as possible. They are both very respectful and tried to keep the workplace as unobtrusive as possible. The guys also built me a custom under the stairs cabinet and countertop that I am very pleased with. PJ offered me a fair price with the best timeline. He said my kitchen would take about 2 weeks to complete, when all other contractors were telling me at LEAST 6-8 weeks. I knew this meant at least 3-4 months. I also doubted the 2 week timeline. The contract allowed for 3.5 weeks, and I am thrilled to say that it was completed in exactly 3.5 weeks despite a rain delay of 2 days for my countertops and a delay because of my own mistake. PJ was extremely communicative. I felt I could reach him at all times necessary. I never felt like my team was going to abandon me mid-project like some other horror stories I have heard from friends. I love my new kitchen! The team removed my old, hideous soffits and put in huge 42" cabinets to replace my old 29" ones. They changed the layout of the kitchen to add in a ton more counter space. I just love love my modern backsplash and quartz countertop. The sink is also a huge source of happiness. During the kitchen remodel, PJ also had new glass shower doors custom made and installed in my upstairs bathroom. It looks fantastic! I feel like my remodel was def.5 stars!!! The only minor .25 deduction is because of unexpected charges once our project began. I was not charged for a base cabinet or crown molding in the estimate I agreed to. PJ absorbed one of these costs, and we paid the other. Just make sure that your quote contains ALL necessary materials. Other than this, you can't go wrong with 1 Day Kitchen and Bath. PJ, the owner, directly answered all my inquiries. I'm very impress! I've been exchanging messages with PJ for the last couple of days , he was very clear, and detailed - a nonsense, no BS type of guy. I'm using him to drill two holes for my pop up outlet in my master bedroom that my designer's guy said it would cost an arm and a leg to do. I was contemplating not even doing it , but then I came across 1 Day Kitchen on Yelp and PJ seems cool and his pricing is very reasonable- I'm paying a bit more than what he quoted me originally but not that much more because my outlets are not a standard size. true to the name, 1 day kitchen. It was a simple Calacatta Quartz countertop with under-mount sink. We had a smaller counter depth than standard kitchens and recessed cabinet doors, which made the project more difficult. The workers knew what to do and were very efficient with making the precision cuts and shavings needed to make things not only fit perfectly, but also look nice. Very satisfied with work and with quality of material. glad to be able to support local small businesses that offer great material and labor for great prices. I can't speak for the experiences of others, good or bad. For me, they did what was contracted: the materials were of good quality, the price quoted was fair, and it was done in a timely (1 day) manner. There was never any pressure to buy and there wasn't any undo follow up while I was pricing out materials with other companies. Only downside was the extra dust the quartz material generated when sink hole was cut. Workers cleaned up at the end, but make sure anything in the area where work is being done is blue to get dust on it, or moved away and down wind. Thanks again. read more

I have been waiting close to 6 years for PJ to finish up the job - Met with his dad the estimate was beyond reasonable - however once PJ took over the estimate the cost escalated three-fold. Still seemed to be reasonable and measurements were taken. A kitchen remodel - walls were demolished, plumbing, electrical etc. all those tasks completed perfectly by another contractor as permits were pulled and approved. PJ ordered cabinets and we used their recommended quartz countertop contact. My husband had to spend 3 hours supervising the installation of the cabinet as the measurements taken by PJ were wrong. and during the installation it was the fault of "the walls aren't level" however after the supervision of my husband amazingly the cabinets went in. Our quartz countertops have fine crack lines and the experience dealing with PJ was a nightmare. Pj was new to the business and I have contacted PJ a few times over the years to come correct the problems we have -I have waited and hoped that PJ would step up and fix these issues, however that has not come about. It saddens me to write this but I still have the holes on both sides of my sink and the cracks in my quartz - I don't know how an individual can be so consumed with making money as every change was "well that is extra" and "well you signed the contract" - That is fine - but just do the job you said you would do. The initial cabinet installer didn't show up as promised and when he did he started the install in the wrong place - no cabinet starting in the corner and as I stated the measurements were messed up. My other contractor who did everything aside from PJ's tasks were approved. Also 3 Day does not go through the city for permits yet expects you to pay pricing as if they do. Very dissatisfied. Thank you for the response PJ - but no it is your company - I even still have you in my contact list - same number - your dad was still doing the visits and you were taking over the business aspect for him. I appreciate your response PJ - but why don't you contact me? I am the customer, and as you know we had a very difficult time with your part of the kitchen. You know the issues we had and all the problems that occurred, especially with your cabinet installation. I told you my concerns a number of years back and have reached out to you a couple of times over the years and you said you would get back to me to fix these issues. I understand you were just starting and learning the business and that's ok, When we have talked I pointed out that I adored your dad and didn't want to create problems and you said you would step up and correct whatever was in your scope of responsibility. If you want your countertop to turn out not level, this is the place for you. PJ came out to measure, verified our cabinets were level, as he demanded was a requirement, then his crew somehow managed to screw up the installation. His crew are hard workers and seem like good people but clearly haven't gotten the necessary training or supervision to avoid a result like this. They had to do multiple fixes on the countertop, including having to lift it back up off the glue (!) in order to reposition it, fiddling with the plywood support underneath, and literally standing on the end piece to try to get it to lay down. Worse yet, the final payment was subject to my approval but PJ -- knowing I was not satisfied with the result -- went ahead and deducted the entire balance from my credit card. What a shyster. Great family owned business, PJ was very knowledgeable and professional, I appreciated his non pressure sales approach, The price he quoted me was hundreds of dollars less than the surrounding competitors not to mention $1000+ cheaper than the good ol' H.Depot for the same brand/material, he came out to the job site to make sure everything was going well (which I thought was very cool) and his team of guys were great, did an absolute beautiful job cutting and installing all the stone. Great detail was taken to make sure everything was level and flush, couldn't be happier with the end product!
