This place worked out well. I'd recommend coming during the day if possible--it's much less busy. At night, especially near closing, some homeless individuals tend to gather, and once the doors are locked, you can't re-enter. The machines were decent overall, but it's a good idea to check for leftover detergent residue from previous users. One convenient feature is that you don't need coins--you can pay by card (which I realized after the fact!). All in all, it got the job done and my clothes came out clean.

Her competency, knowledge, and approach of service was mind-blowing. This is hard to find in any customer service genre. Esther was attentive, honest, and altruistic in helping people of all stripes. And now my second stop - this one was straight up doo doo. Decided to run in real quick before the weekend and knock out some laundry. The moment I went in, it smelled like dirty booty. It took me a couple of minutes to decide if I was gonna stay or go. I decided to try and deal with it but it was a worry of mine whether my dirty clothes were gonna leave the laundromat smelling like culo. The attendant there was very nice and he tried to help by spraying down the machines with Lysol but doo doo is doo doo and sometimes there's nothing you can do to get rid of that smell. While I was there another Haitian family rolled up. There was a grandmother with them and I was dead up worried she was gonna cast a spell on my ass. I wish she would of done some wickedness and helped make the smell better. The place had the vibes of a government office with a crying baby in there and all. At the end of the day - I left the place with clean clothes so that's a bonus but the smell of caca still haunts me.

I found this laundromat on Yelp because it's close to where we do our grocery shopping. Kill two birds with one stone, right? For some reason, the map shows it at the airport. It's actually at the corner of Dyer and 192. First of all, there's parking on the side of the building, but skip it and go to the lot in the back. Why? Because there's a big curb you have to jump over to get in those spots. I didn't even notice it until I ran over it. Just wasn't expecting it or to have to look for a curb. That's when I noticed everyone else parking in the back and walking. The place is clean and quiet (for a laundry). You can get change at the counter, so bringing cash is a good thing. Their machines seem to be older and here are all kinds of brands and sizes. Some seemed better than others. The ones we used were $2.00 a load and about the size of a home washer. They had extra large front loaders the the families were using. I believe those were between $4-$5 a load. Dryers were all 25 cents for 6 minutes. We dried our stuff a little and took it home to dry the rest of the way in our home dryer. Lots of carts to load your stuff into. And a number of folding tables. Each family was very respectful and didn't take over an area. It was super easy and we were in and out within an hour.
