The bar is a plus because we didn't have to bring alcoholic drinks, and everyone was happy with the good prices! Four stars because we did not care for the bartendress. She was the only staff on hand and could improve on her people skills. She may have been a good bartendress... I do not know! Mahalo, Rusty! This won't stop us from coming back.

Personally I think 100 people is the perfect count for this place - not too crowded but not empty. Rusty who is the POC for hosting parties there is always responsive, flexible and kind. The staff is also very accommodating and helpful. The first time we booked was back in 2023 and it was when they were first opening up as a venue. Prices were super reasonable in 2023. We booked another party in 2025 and prices were still very reasonable. We decided to cater through them for our party. I was a tad skeptical but was proven wrong. For a party of roughly 75, we ordered just one pan of each thing and it was more than enough. We had the fried noodles, fried rice, short rib, smoke meat, chicken wings., lumpia and fried ahi. The food was Ono!! It was so good that we thought about catering from them even if we don't have a party there. I think his name was Clyde or Klein who cooks the food - bolohead guy. I think the only take away is that you have to keep the doors closed for AC which makes sense but if you have a jumper outside it's hard to see and the kids will keep going in and out. Overall, a super great venue to hold parties with great staff.

Yes, we were intoxicated, but enough to comprehend that this place would never be rented by us again! This place is 100% needs to be shut down and I will do everything in my Will to make sure that this happens! This place is an illegal After Hours drinking spot. Look them up on TikTok to see what I am talking about and how their staff acts! After having a conversation with the management, he then fired his staff on the spot because of what has been going on! Stop lying! Because I am not going anywhere! This was 100% unacceptable and you did nothing to make it right that night! The sound system went off, the AC was shut off and we stayed in a freaking hot ass room! The back room where we went to speak to the staff about this. Where we were told to speak to the staff about this had people high off of their mind passed out.! super sad environment! This place is not for families to rent! We have to send the management back his contract for him to know what was on there! He had no idea that the set up was from 8 to 11. When we got upstairs, we were told to set up and they would clean after we left to go home and get ready.. we set up in a dirty place! Super SAD! Nothing about this place screamed professional! The estate was huge as it included horse stables, garages for horse-drawn carriages (later for automobiles), surrounded by undulating and well-manicured landscaping. The estate once extended from the intersection of Diamond Head Road and Paki Avenue to Kapahulu Avenue, around where Jefferson Elementary now stands. Back in 1992, the house was dedicated to the City and County of Honolulu. During 2003 - 2006, the C&C did a lot of renovation to the property and had a lot of concerns about its maintenance and use. Prior to its dedication by the Winstead descendants and the C&C renovation of this property, the Diamond Head Neighborhood Board held community meetings or gatherings. This property was also used as a backdrop to some local television shows..uh, anyone remember Magnum P.I.? To date, I don't know whether or not they have been permitted to continue using the space as such. Currently, there are offices that occupy its basement area by the Parks & Recreation administrative staff. All I can say is that if I worked in this facility, it would be very difficult to get any work done. I'd be wowed by the cool, gentle breezes, sunny blue skies and close proximity of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. But, that's what makes this property perfect for the Parks & Recreation to own and manage! #306

They took care of all at the wedding, from bride to groom to parents to guests. The food is not the best, but it was sufficient. No one will choose this venue for the food over the view- it's the view! Lovely venue for that purpose, you'll be ecstatic.

It's an event-licensed venue but family-owned and private, so you'll need to use one of several different Maui wedding planners for more detailed information and booking. The house can easily serve as a beautiful stand-in stage if it rains, with ample space and guest bathrooms conveniently located directly outside the front entrance. It's in a residential area so there is very limited parking in front of the house, and while there are a few more parking spots across the street, it's actually easier to just taxi or shuttle your guests in at very reasonable rates (which is also safer if your celebrations include any alchoholic beverages). Regardless, the lush back lawn landscaping, running right up to the oceans' edge, anchored by the most incredible lava rocks! will just take your breath away. It was actually hard not to turn around and gaze during our ceremony, even harder not to bail on our guests and just sit out on the rocks while the sun slowly set. Stunning arena, awe-inspiring photographs, priceless memories ... I'd just as readily elope here in hindsight. Kukahiko Estate is truly the most magical venue ever!
