I will never use this service, nor recommend anyone I know use it either. It's an absolute rip off when it comes to their "pricing model." To charge me almost $500 for some cardboard is absurd. Why they didn't break it down prior to loading, or at least offer before they did is some scammer energy. I had my appointment time from 3-5, I was told I'd get a call 15 minutes prior to give me an eta. At 4:45 I called them asking where they were at. They told be they wouldn't be there till closer to 6. It was for a queen mattress pick up. I then got another call shortly after which was them letting me know I can leave the mattress outside & just get payment taken over the phone which was a huge help to me & very thoughtful. So we put the mattress outside, which was half the work that needed to he done. I got another call around 7 letting me know theyd be there around 8. I says no problem, the mattress Is already outside. Then they tell me they dont usually throw prices over the phone but for a queen mattress pick up, its $115. Scheduled a morning pick up by didn't show up till the afternoon. I've used them before a few years ago and wow! Prices have jumped!! Paid much more than I expected but I was stuck. They were there and I had my stuff on the driveway. Service was fine but not worth the expense IMO so next time I need to figure something else out. I had some rotten landscaping wood, an old patio umbrella and about five pieces of cushion foam with each piece not bigger than 2' x 3'. Cost me $318 which included an "additional labor fee" of $50. Just like everybody else that has posted here, the same thing happened to me. I was scheduled for 10am-12pm, the guy calls me at 11:30 to say it will be sometime after 2pm. I told him that wasn't good enough and I told him to forget it, don't bother coming at all. I telephoned the GOT JUNK customer support and they were completely apathetic/lackadaisical. Every time I see a TV commercial for 800 GOT JUNK i'm just gonna laugh out loud...WHAT A JOKE! read more

I contracted Got Junk in Lancaster to remove 2 recliners from my parent's home, who are in the 90s. We were charged $199 to remove the chairs and the caregiver listened to one of the guys (who moved the chairs) sell one of the recliners to a friend for $150 while in the driveway. Making money on the chairs is fine but to do it in the driveway for the customer's home is unprofessional. They charged way too much for the job because there is no way 2 recliners took up much room in the truck. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Great service and friendly staff. They were able to get here even earlier than scheduled, with a courtesy call first, of course, to make sure that was ok (how many services ever show up EARLIER than planned? If anything, most are late.). The two men were very polite and professional, and removed exactly what I asked and left certain specific items that I asked them to and even cleaned up the area afterward. Before they touched a thing, they showed me a price chart for different sized loads (they charge by volume, not time, which is nice) and showed me how much they estimated, which they ended up being dead on accurate as far as how much space in their truck it took up. No hidden fees, they show you up front and that's all there is. They were done very quickly and allowed me to get on with my day without being held up for more than maybe 20-25 minutes tops. It is an expensive service, but well worth it especially for a full load of junk. Definitely worth the price compared to the hassle of taking 5-6+ loads of trash myself with a pickup truck or SUV. read more

With so many good reviews for 1-800-GOT-JUNK my family felt comfortable choosing this services for my grandparents house. As they age, it gets harder and harder for them each day to move stuff around and get rid of junk. With them having to move out of there large house to a more accessible house they are in much need of downsize. Due to many circumstances, it is not in our best interest to clean the house out as a family so we choose to use a junk removal service. Unfortunately, got junk did not pull through. After scheduling an appointment, weeks in advance, we were left waiting for hours after our scheduled time. We called and was told that they would call us back and let us know when someone is on the way within the next hour. Well we never got that call so we called the main office. The main office informed us that we had "rescheduled" for next week(we had not we expected that day). The women was very passive aggressive and the man we communicated with earlier in the day lied to his co worker about a reschedule that we as clients never discussed. Great experience with 1-800-GOT-JUNK. Scheduling an appointment online was a snap. Half an hour prior to arrival I received a confirmation phone call. The gentlemen arrived promptly at the beginning of my appointment window and removed two sofas within fifteen minutes. They even considered the best way to load the sofas into their truck without blocking traffic. Would definitely call again. (I'm already eyeing our other furniture.) read more

The men were very pleasant, explained that some of the merchandise would be recycled, reused, or donated. That pleased me a lot. They worked hard, cleanly and very efficiently. It was almost 95 degrees with the humidity. The men never stopped and they were carrying everything up from the basement. read more

The gentleman by the name of Jared & ?? teammate, came in and introduced themselves. They explained their process and their was no gray areas with their pricing and what they would or would not do. We walked around the areas to be cleaned basement & outside and they were given verbal instructions on what to do & followed them well. They both worked quickly, efficiently and needed no supervision. I had some things that I wanted to keep and they set those aside. Throughout the process they would ask me to check to see if there was anything else I needed done and verified with me as well to make sure I was satisfied with what they had already done. They cleaned up everything before they left if any debris had fallen on their way out. Great company and business model. The only suggestion is to offer a voucher for a referral program. read more
