I couldn't be more satisfied with the competence, compassion, professionalism, quality of work and…read morededication to service and workmanship C&Z afforded after the fire that destroyed my home on 3-3-25. Communication was excellent and the work ethic of the company was reflected in EVERY team member throughout the project. Having lost my husband just 20 months prior to the fire that ravaged the home we built and contents curated over a lifetime, I am especially grateful that I had the opportunity to work with this company. Special shout outs to Jonathan King, the Project Manager who kept the project on track without sacrificing a single detail, and to Patrick Smith, Derek Thomas, Aaron Holbrook, and Jase. This crew and the rest of the team had my back all the way. I highly recommend C&Z - it would be impossible to have greater praise for all they did to get me home within 9.5 months.

This is the second time I have used C&Z for remodeling and renovations. I cannot speak for…read morerestorations due to fire or water damage...but I CAN speak for renovation work. We had a second floor and garage addition over 18 years ago from C & Z. Flooring installed in the second floor is still good after all these years and did not need to be replaced. This time around, I contracted for another addition to the side of the house and a kitchen remodel with other work being done to every single room in the house except for one. This was a huge undertaking. Hats off to the crew who did the first remodel as there were 12 people living in the house during that renovation; this time there were only 7 people living through most of the renovation (and a dog) increasing to 9 towards the end of the work. While the crew members changed over the years, Aaron Holbrook was present for both remodels. Trying to remodel and renovate around so many people was challenging and so we are grateful to Jonathan King, Patrick Smith, Ron, Anthony and especially Jason who almost single handedly painted the entire house. The crew had to work around all these people while installing cabinets, flooring, painting, ceiling tiles, framing, etc....The crew was flexible, considerate and courteous. I feel the overall cost of the project was fair for the amount of work that was done both inside and outside of the house. We will be contacting them again for future work.

SERVPRO sent Levonzia Stevens to quote a basement clean up with removal of asbestos tile. Levonzia…read morewas very professional. Their quote was reasonable and the work was completed by the business owner, a Technician Joe and another Technician in two and a half days. The area was contained, the biohazard material removed and disposed of properly. The basement is now clean and looks 100% better. This home is now approved to be sold as "asbestos free". Thank you to everyone at SERVPRO of Western Lancaster County. Should I need this type of service in the future I will call SERVPRO. Pam M.

During the night our 10-year old refrigerator (never buy a Samsung refrigerator) decided to squirt…read morewater through the door and onto the kitchen floor and a very small part of the adjacent carpeted living room. Remembering a recent ServPro ad I had seen on television, I called this office. About five men showed up during the course of the day, which happened to be a Sunday. I cannot complain about the quick response. The did not provide any sort of estimate of the cost. I do not know if a company of this sort ever does. They covered the flooring from the front door across the carpeting to the kitchen. Unfortunately, this became torn and wrinkled rather quickly, and no one seemed concerned. The men rolled out the fridge and closed the water valve behind it (we had already turned off the main). All this time they were walking around on the wet floor and several puddles. I thought the first thing they would do would use a big wet vac to suck up all the water, but they just left it. Then one guy started tearing out the baseboards in the wet area, as well as wood trim around the kitchen island. I questioned this but they told me it was to allow the room to dry out. I was unaware that all this removed material was taken away and thrown out. I thought it would be dried out and put back. Pieces they could not seem to remove from under the cupboards were drilled with a half dozen holes to allow for air circulation. Then a man crawled around the floor with a wet vac with no attachment--just the hose--and vacuumed up the standing water. Over the next three days they continued to monitor (very loud) air dryers and added to the number (there were 11 all told, in the kitchen and basement). Each day someone came with a moisture meter and checked, until the fourth day, when they declared the job done and removed them. I have no problem with the clean-up except for the removal of the baseboards and trim. I saw no need for it since there was no depth of water on them. At the least, I thought they were being dried out, but they trashed them. They also tore out and removed wet insulation in the basement rafters under the kitchen floor. ServPro billed the insurance company, and the claims adjuster felt there were a number of inappropriate charges on the bill. She offered to pay them considerably less, which they accepted. Now, here is the real kicker. When I called ServPro about when they could come to make the necessary repairs, I was told "the job is too small for us to undertake." When I complained, I was told they would make an exception and bid on the job. Of course, their bid was $500 over what the insurance company was willing to pay based on community standards. So I have been spending weeks trying to find a reputable carpenter willing to consider a small job. (I don't even hear back from them.) So, I would say the clean-up was okay. My guess is that the clean-up men are told to remove material so that it can be put back when they are paid to restore. But then they said the damage they did wasn't worth the effort to restore! How does that make any sense? Then again, after reading other reviews, I may prefer to keep looking for a qualified carpenter who needs a few hours of work.
