I scheduled 1800GOT JUNK online, second time in a month as I prepare my fairly large house for sale. Dylan and Jimmie came (same day) and gave me a quote to clear items from my basement and my garage. I accepted the quote and they went to work - they cleared everything I had requested and cleaned and swept behind themselves after they finished. We had 19 years of stuff - our stuff and our grown kid's stuff - all gone in under an hour. If you are selling, or just doing a remodel/refresh 1800GOTJUNK is your new best friend. I cannot say enough good about the service, the timeliness and the ease of the transaction. I wish all contractors were this efficient and reliable. read more

BAIT & SWITCH. Booked free quote online and got a text shortly thereafter from "John" asking for pictures of what I wanted removed and saying I would get a $50-100 discount. I sent several pictures and got a response stating, "Perfect, thank you for the pictures, we can remove everything for you for $200 flat no taxes or fees and have a team out as early as today to assist!" Guys got to my house and told me it would be $600 (for a large pile of empty boxes and a table top). The guy then told me the $200 price didn't count because John was AI and proceeded to haggle with me. We ended up at $300. NOTE THAT THEY ARE LEGALLY BOUND BY THE HARD PRICE THEY GIVE YOU - EVEN IF IT IS AI. Crazy expensive for the job (which took them maybe 10 minutes). I paid $300 just to be done with it, but it was ridiculous. read more

We were given an estimate to collect four items and upon receiving the final invoice it was five times the cost of the estimate. The movers/representatives finished their efforts in barely fifteen minutes. Only one item was heavy and even that was loaded onto their truck by one person. My review is mixed. Nick and Max ...the guys that came to our house were very nice. Unfortunately, we were told the maximum out of pocket expense would be $799. When the guys came to quote us a price they quoted over $2200. I was not told of the extra charges for tvs, labor, mattress removal cost, unplugging electrical items, etc. I was shocked and called the company immediately. Sarah answered the phone and I believe she was the most rude customer service person I've ever spoken with. I couldn't get a word in and she kept telling me to stop interrupting her. She seriously had an issue with me and did not help me whatsoever. She obviously didn't care about me. She doesn't deserve to be in the customer service industry. I'm the first to admit it. We were lucky. In preparing to relocate, I donated a bunch of stuff to Goodwill. As we got closer, we called Salvation Army to pick up the remaining furniture, all of which was in good shape and happily accepted. Since nobody takes beds, we ended up with 1-800-GOT-JUNK. There's no denying that it's expensive. (I did find a coupon on line which they honored.) What I like is their reliability, the ease of setting up -- and in our case changing -- the appointment, and the men who work for them. Service with a smile. We were quoted a price by phone which was honored, not counting the discount, which I discovered the day of. If you're strong and have access to a truck, you can save beaucoup bucks by going to the dump yourself. Frankly, we couldn't be bothered. read more

When I called to get an estimate on removal I specified exactly what I had. This included large pieces of glass and cans of paint. The rep on the phone tells me a small truck load would be minimum of $148. I had 2 small shelves, small glider,small desk and a few others small items. They could hve been loaded into my Chevy silverado just fine. When the guys get here the price goes up to over $1100. The guys start talking about a $20.00 recycling fee for EACH can of paint and recycling fee for the glass. Not once did the rep mention recycling fees over the phone. Very deceptive company. After I complained to the guys that came out they decided to wave the recycling fee and got the price down to $798. Still too much for what I had to pick up. I had been looking to have a few large items removed. I needed a full size mattress, box spring, headboard and foot board removed. I had got some crazy quotes in the $600 range. I booked them online but decided to just rent a van and do it myself. I got a text inquiring reason for cancelation. I explained my situation. I was provided with an opportunity to use the services for a reduced price. When taking into consideration my time, effort, sweat, and lots of complaining. Lol. I felt it was well worth it. Terrible experience! My appointment was from 5pm-8pm. I received a call at 6pm saying they were 20 minutes away, needless to say they never showed up, called to let me know they couldn't make it, or called me back when I called them at 8pm. The Workers were so nice and removed everything we told them. We had so much that they had to make 4 loads. They didn't seem to mind. They were pleasant throughout the job. I've used 1800 GOT-JUNK over the years, very satisfied customer. It's been a few years since I used them....so I had a bit of a build up to have removed. Last time I paid $380.00 for an almost filled truck. This time, for not even half filled.....they come at me for over $800.00! ‍ Inflation? Price gouging? Ridiculous yes! I said, NOWAY! They called and checked on what I paid last time and sure enough, it was 380.00 for almost 100% filled. They charged me 500.00 today and that's the last time I'll be using 1800gotjunk. Sorry guys! I have 2 items that I was requesting quotes for hauling away. I looked at several options in the area and reached out to this service. Their business model is very shady. You have no clue how much their service costs - not even an estimate - before someone shows up on your doorstep. As I was clicking through the web "quote" system, it doesn't actually give a quote. It only sets up an appointment. I wasn't happy with this approach and called the hotline. The agent told me she'd be happy to quick me a "ball park" estimate and asked me what I wanted hauled off. When I told her, she proceeded to tell me what the minimum charges are and the various truckload prices are.... That isn't even close to a ballpark. When I requested the ballpark she offered, she told me that was all she could provide. I said no thanks and asked that the appointment be canceled. She then went back to the same script 3 times over before she would let me cancel the appointment. The next morning, someone sent me a text message offering a $50-100 discount to "win my business". I responded with a "no thanks". At this point, I'm not going to encourage this horrible business approach. I will be supporting another business that has upfront communication and no pressure tactics. read more

They showed up 2 hours after our scheduled two hour window, we put all of our items outside and it was going to start storming so we kept calling and they kept pushing the arrival. They also wouldn't provide a ballpark estimate over the phone and by the time they arrived and our stuff was soaking wet, they tried to charge upwards of $800. It was not a crazy amount of stuff, we were only cleaning out our garage. I would not recommend this company based on price, punctuality, and communication. We used this service to haul our old sofas, 2 oversized chairs, coffee table, 3 tires, 4 rims & a few random items... Guys that came & service were great, no doubt! They reviewed items to go & quoted my husband. We had furniture coming the next morning so didn't really have a big window to find another company, so he agreed to allow them to haul. Cost for 30 mins was NOT expected!! 30 mins $877!!!! $75 per person labor charge, on top of the truck load cost volume, sur charges for tires.... $877!!!!! Outch!! I should have written this review almost a year ago. This junk service is very expensive. I needed to have some items removed from my garage to make space. On August 30, 2023 I was charged $633.30 to haul away a piano, bricks, several sheets of new drywall, two metal entry doors, and a mattress. All of which were in excellent to very good condition. I believe the guys charged an additional $75 for their services. No itemized bill was received. read more

An excellent experience all around! My mom and I were dreading cleaning out a late-relative's estate, that had been lived in for over 30 years. A day later, I'm still shocked and overjoyed at how quick and easy the Got Junk team made the whole process. Our crew - Mark, Brad, Kaleb, and Andrew - were AWESOME! Professional, hardworking, efficient, kind, and I could go on. They had an over 4,000 sq ft house cleaned out in just a couple of hours! It was a tough job and all 4 of them were extremely pleasant and willing to go above and beyond from start to finish.
