This is a place you would have gone to if someone in your family was a police officer or your friends invited you- strictly members only. Tucked away by the Royal Hong Kong Yatch Club is the POC- Police Officer's Club- this place is for the use of officer-ranking members of the police force.
The club's design is very attractive and it certainly doesn't look like its government run. It is a full facilities clubhouse that had a pool, bowling green, multi-function courts, two restaurants and a bar. There are also various facilities for kids and conference activities. You could literally spend a whole day in there and indeed in my younger days we did do that.
Everything in club was well organized and neat- the restaurants there weren't exactly great but it did the job. The bar on the ground floor was something different because they overlook the bowling green and it has a colonial-esque air about it. the gym room, as you would expect from a force that stresses on physical fitness- is well equipped and caters for every sort of training there is.
Last but not least would be the club shop- if you were looking for police memorabilia or sports equipment there is no better place to find it. read more
