Located on the…read moresixth floor where all the electronics store are, the Pacific Coffee is near Samsung and Osim. It's not huge by any means, which explains why it is always so crowded and hard to find a table. Being able to land a vacant table here within ten minutes is a victory in itself. Everybody here seems to be the kind of annoying table hogger that buys one drink and site there for absolutely ages, whether it's to type away on their laptop or catch up with an oh-so-dear long lost friend. Besides for you, there are probably a few other groups who are standing by waiting for a table to free up too. Many a times, my mother and I want to get some coffee here (as she holds a DBS credit card, drinks are 30% off, plus we have their loyalty card too so in certain months we're good for their 2-for-1 promotion). But we leave in frustration and head for somewhere else, because finding a table is just impossible. Besides, they seem a bit short staffed and they're not very quick in coming over and cleaning up dirty tables and taking the trays away to make way for new customers. This can get annoying especially if whoever occupied the last table last had a sandwich and littered crumbs all over the table. This outlet of Pacific Coffee doesn't have a distinct coffee shop vibe because it's always so busy, and the tables are placed quite close to each other so it's cramped. A better outlet is the one around five minutes away over at HomeSquare - much less busy and just a better environment.

I'm not a big fan of that because it's open to the rest of the mall and very noisy. The tables are also very closely placed together so it feels very crowded. Coffee wise, it's just average coffee like all of the other Pacific Coffees.

The Brew Job - Keep an eye out / you may miss it - I walked past it for nearly 6 months until they opened up the folding doors one day!!!

Only a stone's throw away from the Olympia Station, this place is so small that it's easy to miss. For folks looking for a quiet place to chat or some caffeine with a side of WiFi, this place fits the bill. Bear in mind, The Brew Job is no Starbucks. There is no indie music or up and coming artists playing in the background, or a fancy gift card for future purposes. The layout is narrow with super small tables and an even smaller tiny counter. Conversations are bound to be overheard, the smell of the coffee will permeate the room, and patrons are typically in and out constantly. Thankfully the staff is both efficient and friendly. It's a cash only operation, but it's nice knowing they also take Octopus cards. While the cappuccino and ice coffee are my go-tos (under $40), the real motivation for being here is their reasonably fast WiFI and solid, intimate meeting space. There is a parking garage across the street and some bicycle parking areas for commuters. Don't come here in a group of course, but for solo sipping and/or some intimate conversation, this is a quality neighborhood spot.

It is quite a small place and recommended to groups larger than 3 people. The espresso is quite mild and slightly sour with a tense of fruit aroma. I tried most of the bagels and ciabatta with salmon and pastrami. Breakfast takes some time as everything is prepared freshly. This is definitely a good place to slow down in a busy city and the place to go for people who appreciate third generation coffee.

The Pulled beef Benedict is extremely lack of flavor. The poached egg has no taste as well. Overall if it is one of the signature dish, then I don't know what else to say. The Ragu Papperdalle is a bit better in taste, at least not seasoning and flavor. Honestly, not recommended for a brunch spot as price is not really cheap. Spent over $300 for two without drink.

The café offers both indoor and alfresco seating, creating a laid-back vibe with its crisp white décor. My fav of the day goes to The pork shred is tender and flavorful, infused with a smoky sweetness that pairs wonderfully with the creamy hollandaise. Another main dish was rich and flavorful, with tender chunks of beef slow-cooked to perfection. Esp. the sauce!! Love it so much. Doused in umami yoghurt sauce, was also fork-tender, while its accompanying sauce adds a creamy texture and a hint of nuttiness. We rounded off our meal with a special . It looks aesthetic with its baby pink colour. The sweetness of the chocolate perfectly balances the natural earthiness of the beetroot!
