People always say Lung Mun Oasis has one of the best street food stalls in Tuen Mun, so today I…read morecame here again and to my astonishment, there were indeed lots of street foods and they served all kind of food you would have expected. Today, I would like to introduce you guys to this Taiwanese food stall. I suppose I would just call this 5 Degree as there was not any English name for this. One of its specialties is the Chinese pancakes and some prefer calling it flaky scallion pancake. It is a savor flatbread folded with oil and scallions. It originates in Chinese culture and it is huge in Taiwan. For western pancakes, they are made from batter but this is made from dough. The pancakes were very crispy and freshly made in front of you. So beware. You could taste the scallions right away and the entire pancakes were just so satiny and smooth that you could eat that all day. I remember when I tried that in Taiwan, some of them were always just a little too chewy but not from here. Apart from the Chinese pancakes, try the bubble tea a.k.a. tapioca milk tea, which is also one of the signature Taiwanese drinks. I am sure I will come back to this street again given how many different stalls it has here.
