I wish they use fabric softener, or not sure if you have to request that. I remember the last time when we were at a different laundry service in the area of Nathan Road off Nathan hotel. They did a great job! Just don't remember the name. Also same day services, with folding and they use liquid softener for our clothes.

Initially, we didn't know what to expect... we just dropped off our clothes in the morning, and this old couple helped us. They weigh the clothes, we paid cash in advance for 10% off, and they told us to come back for same day pick up around 4pm (or you can pick up next day). The clothes came back in a neat package, they are perfectly folded, and no crazy-strong laundry detergent smell (it smells fresh and clean!) We went back a second time because we were so pleased with the quality and service!

I was in a time crunch for a laundry load and all of my other options (hotel, other apartments,…read moreetc.) weren't going to be feasible, I found ARTS Dry Cleaners (雅士乾洗) as the next best option after calling around. They offered the best price ($50HKD) along with a guarantee that my clothes would be ready in 2 hours. This was a tall order, mainly because same day drop off and pick up is usually around 4 hours minimum with ideally 6-8 hours in between. However, the nice ladies running the laundry were kind and sweet and still managed to oversee my pile of clothes that were in need of a rinse. To my surprise, they managed to wash, dry, and fold my clothes while finishing 15 minutes early. The end result was a perfectly folded mix of t-shirts, sweatshirts, collared shirts, shorts, underwear, and jeans all tucked into a single bag. They even smelled nice. The payment was in cash and I was on my way. The only kicker that prevented a perfect rating? I was missing a shirt. Thankfully it wasn't a shirt I particularly liked all that much, but anything missing is never a good thing. While everything else worked out great, I can only give them 4/5 for now. Next time, i'll thoroughly inspect on the spot and hopefully, be in less of a hurry.

And I'm reviewing it because even though few things can go wrong with a dry cleaner, this is mine and it's good. It does the job. Price wise, like every other dry cleaner in Wan Chai (around 90HKD for four shirts - this seems to be a promotion, but the promotion also seems to be permanent, so it's not a promotion?). Anyway, I picked it because it's two minutes walking from home, but I'd have switch to another one that's three minutes walking had something gone wrong. I don't bring many clothes to the dry cleaner but my boyfriend goes on a weekly basis to get his white shirts cleaned and ironed. They open at 8 in the morning and close at 8 in the evening, a big enough window for us to bring and pick up the clothes, especially in the morning as it's on our way to the tube. The shirts usually come really well ironed and prepared with pegs around the cuffs. It's a little tricky to undo them and they are pretty well fixed but this is better than letting them loose. And what's most important: they come clean and well ironed. As they are usually white, it would have been really noticeable it that hadn't been the case. It's true that I've never brought any tricky-stained piece of clothing, but so far so good. Ah, you can pay with your Oyster there too! Even more convenient.
