If you come here at night, the buildings come to life, lighting up the sky around you. You wouldn't imagine that a bank could be a tourist attraction, but something about all these buildings together really creates such an amazing atmosphere. (I think I spent 5 minutes just watching the HSBC building change colors.) Since it's Christmas time, the square itself has a bunch of decorations and a huge Christmas tree made of ornaments. After spending some time looking at the buildings, there is also alot of great shopping and food around central/admiralty to enjoy.

There's a small public outside courtyard, smaller inner courtyard with incense shop and reception, and three different altars. Two other people were doing devotion while I was there, a lady was washing the floor, and a man was attending the reception/shop. But I believe with three "Man Mo" temples around Hong Kong and the SAR, this one is a worthy stop if you find yourself in the area. Because it is in Tai Po, it is void of tourists and quaint. It feels very local and peaceful. It was built in 1891 and was declared a historical monument in 1984. More so than other temples I have seen, this place is very well taken care of. The small courtyard was so exceptionally clean and manicured. The temple is also small and dedicated to the God of Literature (Man) and the God of War (Mo). We were the only two people there, other than the one man who was attending the temple reception desk. This temple is located about mid way down Fu Shin Street, which is a small market street for shopping (less tourist trinkets and more designed for locals) and also around the corner from the Railroad Museum.

Updated review about this little open public space…read more Apparently I had overlooked the upper part of the park, and to add to the fact that I visited here at day time the first time, it felt different. The other night I randomly saw people walking into a back alley at the middle of Peel Street. Out of my curiosity, "yeah why would people go into there?" Well, it's Soho right (or, Noho, 'cause it's right beneath Hollywood Road..)? So the answer is obvious, they were there for drinks. I followed them into the back alley. Boom. What? I mean, DAMN, I should have known it! So while I know that perfectly well Pak Tsz Lane is a one of the rare, remaining spot in Hong Kong surrounded by four walls of buildings without direct road access, I didn't realized it's that big. It's right there on the map but I never checked. So one side of Pak Tsz Lane Park is on Gage Street, and the three other sides are Peel Street, Hollywood, and Aberdeen Street. Yes, it meant it sits right in the middle of actions, but is also protected by the buildings. There you'd find 3 bars and one restaurant (that I have never noticed, not even the first time I visited here), and they are quite isolated from the rest of the Soho/Noho usual suspects. And that makes me wonder.... Soho is the place I hang out so often already, and there are still places I haven't explored. How much of this lovely city I haven't discovered yet?

Walking along the street made me imagine what the neighborhood was like years ago, and it gave me a warm feeling. It was a wonderful place to explore and relax.

Like everyone said, this street is where the East meets West; it is definitely more luxurious, with many high end shops and restaurants, after a controversial redevelopment by the government since 2003. I was hoping to see the signature rows of red lanterns on this street, but they took it down for the winter holiday, and it's all Christmas decor right now! This street is usually filled with excitement; many come here to take selfies with the decor, and to check out the many restaurants and shops. There is Japanese ramen, Chinese noodles, French cuisine, egg tarts, coffee shops, and many more! Connecting to the MTR station right underneath Lee Tung Avenue, you will also find an underground pathway with a grocery store, and plenty of local shops for beauty, jewellery and baked goods! Psst, a NEW popcorn shop just grand opened, and it makes the pathway smells extra, extra sweet, and you just want to stop by to buy some lol ^^
