Club Med is a famous travel agency which own all-inclusive holiday resorts, they have big and well-facilities resorts in more than 80 countries, so you can choose to go to the sunny Maldives or go skiing in France. How they work is to help organize the flight and accommodation in their resorts, so you can use all the facilities and dine any restaurants for free, you pay once only and can completely enjoy. I personally like the idea of "all-inclusive resort", it may not be a best way to explore a city but definite a good way to gain energy. Think about that, what you can do in places like Thailand or Bali? If you just wanna go diving or sunbathing, why not pay it all before head so to be more flexible and do more. The good thing of Club Med is they can organize lessons and activities when you arrive, their resources are richer than you thought! Therefore, it's a good idea to drop by the Tourists Info in TST first before your adventures. - TST is the HOME of many modern and traditional shopping malls, heritage museums, culture centers, and various attractions such as the harbor promenade, Avenue of Stars, 1881 Heritage Complex, the Ferry to the Hong Kong island, the famous, gigantic Kowloon Park, and the famous Harbor City Mall. The Star Ferry Pier is also the bus terminal, where one can board buses to visit various major districts in Kowloon (see pic). Of course, the Ferry ride across the beautiful Victoria Harbour should be one of the highlights of visiting HK. She seems to just love what she is doing. She told me her mother taught her to help people and that is what she wants to do. Although this was my fourth visit to Hong Kong (I think Hong Kong is one of the greatest cities in the world) I still had several questions because things have changed drastically since I was there last in 1999. Windy gave me many tips on where to go, what to do and the best way to get there. I did everything she said and my day turned out to be absolutely fabulous. Being a poorly organized student at the time, I'd usually come to Nanda Travel with a very short deadline, but they were completely professional and sorted out my Cathay Pacific flights for Easter, Summer, and Christmas at surprisingly cheap prices. Both Joanna and Foby at Nanda Travel have taken care of my last few flights without a hitch - sending me my invoices and e-tickets in plenty of time. The best time to call up Nanda Travel would be to arrange flights to India. The reason for this might be that Nanda Travel is the only wholesale agent for Cathay Pacific and Dragonair to India - i.e. they have the best fares, and close to no competition, as they and only a few others block inventory for CX and Air India flights. Tickets are a deal at 200 HKD or about $25 USD. Boarding was easy on the pier near the Bruce Lee Statue along the Avenue of Stars and the promenade. Surprised at how empty the cruise was on a Friday night. We almost had the boat to ourselves. Went to the open bow of the boat to take in all the buildings lit up on both sides of Victoria Harbor. So beautiful. The boat cruised past the Hong Kong Observation Wheel, the Clock Tower, the Waterfront Promenade, and the West Kowloon Cultural District. The Symphony of Lights was not that impressive. We could not hear any audio on our boat, but did hear music on boats passing by. Loved our semiprivate harbor tour to view Hong Kong all lit up at night. So magical. The perfect way to end the day in Hong Kong.

There are a few visitor centres around Hong Kong but today I went to the one at the Peak. Located at The Peak Piazza next to The Peak Galleria, you will see a signage with 'Hong Kong Tourism Board' written on it. Walk inside you can see how informative this place is. I understand lots of people before they travel will buy a guide book and stuff to plan their trip, however, they have plenty of free maps, booklets and brochures for you to take from there. On top of that, the staff there are very talkative and very nice to chat with. They know what tourists want in this place and the best of all, they offer the most affordable choices for you and the suggestions are tailor made. All staff are equipped with Ipad that enables them to show you the sights on it so you know what to expect. Hong Kong as an international city, I would say that our government did spend a lot on the tourism here and you can see how much effort it has put in it with the staff training and the facilities. My advice here is really to spend some time talking to the ambassadors here instead of relying on your guidebook. You will definitely gain more doing so.

While the bus is cheaper and good for people who are afraid of heights, it takes much longer, about 50 to 60 minutes. The mountain roads are also very winding, which can make some people feel dizzy. My husband and I rode the Crystal Cabin to see the Big Buddha on our last trip. Since it was our daughters' first time in Hong Kong, we really wanted them to try it, too. They do have regular cabins without clear floors, but none of us are scared of heights, so we happily chose the glass-bottom one. We bought our tickets early on Klook. It was much cheaper than buying them at the gate. We also chose to visit on a weekday, which was a great choice because it was not crowded at all. I still remember our last visit ten years ago was super packed, and people had to wait in huge lines just to get on. The cable car ride takes about 25 minutes each way. We only bought a one-way ticket this time because we wanted to visit Tai O Fishing Village afterward. It was a fun, smooth, and beautiful 25-minute ride. We loved looking down at the green hills, seeing waterfalls, and watching the Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery come into view. Surprisingly, it was not hot at all, and it felt pretty cool up there on the mountain. It was truly amazing!

No where will you get a full view of the Hong Kong airport (unless you decide to climb up a mountain). This is my second time visiting and still very memorable and worthwhile. We got there around 10am on a Saturday and purchased tickets at the gate and didn't have a wait. Weekend tickets are more expensive, but we didn't have a choice with our schedule. I opted for the crystal glass cabin which I highly recommend for that full 360 degrees experience. The cabin has a clear glass bottom. The line for the crystal glass cabin is significantly shorter than the standard one too so avoiding the wait alone is worth it. Each one way ride is actually longer than I thought it would be so well worth the price. There's of course the giant Buddha to see at the top. There's also a few hiking trails. There are a lot of restaurant options at the top, but I suggest having lunch at their vegetarian cafe by the monastery- it's unique and delicious .
